What more do you want?

The best rogue-lite I've played yet. Seamlessly weaves together narrative and gameplay. Because I feel like I'm getting more story every run, and slowly building up my character's abilities, I never feel that sense of unfairness that comes with most rogue-likes. Beautiful art and voice acting, too.

An insanely hard game, but it's so worth it for the vast world and all the crazy customizations available.

I expected Third Rome to give some benefits to nations besides Muscovy - specifically, Novgorod. However, Novgorod is next to impossible to survive with for like 5 years, since Muscovy attacks before you can form any alliances. I know historically Muscovy formed Russia, but this is a "what if" type game, and some greater flavour for Novgorod and the smaller principalities would have been more appreciated.

This is an unfinished game. Even with the Restored Content mod, this game lacks so much polish. I don't get why people liked this more than KOTOR 1, which had more memorable characters, better world building, and a freaking proper ending.

Some interesting concepts for sure, like the influence system, but the lack of finish is obvious from the dialogue to the crafting system to whole planets. The voice acting, which wasn't KOTOR 1's strongest department, was also much poorer this time around.

This could have been awesome. Instead, it's a maddeningly slow-paced KOTOR wannabe.

Modded the game until it broke, then modded some more. Worth every kilobyte.
