I am actually enjoying this game and it's really nice! Normally I would give this two thumbs up! However it has one major flaw: the limited amount of turns which is just is not any fun whatsoever.
I am OK with say points and prestige going down if you don't take side and main objectives on time but just ending your game kills the flow. I hope to see a third game, without it. Sorry 2x2 games I do actually like this, but the turns thing kills it and you should figure out something else.

I think most people have read about this game: it's an obvious Live Service model concept that at the last minute was reworked to a more standard open world experience. However it was not reworked enough, the endless repetitive grinding and lists upon lists of loot and upgrades is a large part of the experience and is just tiresome and pointless. The amazing set pieces and curated single player experience that is the previous Arkham series of games is just not here.

Now with that said if, IF: you are a big Batman nerd like I am then this game can be somewhat entertaining. The characters, the little bit of story that is there, the fighting, etc. is all actually kind of OK and fun. This is really a game that makes me with there was a "meh" option in between just the yes/no Steam review.
If you are a Batman fan: buy this on a really deep sale like 75% off. However if you are not a Batman fan and want a well designed game then I recommend the previous Arkham games with Batman instead.

Just such a pointless game, feels like there is no progression that really matters. Shame, it's very "comfy" as a game just feels like you're wasting your time. Total meh fest.

Full price? Only if you are a heckin Alien universe fan. All others should buy at half off to really feel they get their moneys worth.

The Pros:
1. They have taken the visual design and atmosphere from the movies and done really well in creating their maps
2. It's a nice enough shooter, but the loot and build options are so fun it's what really makes this game work
3. The Pulse Rifle and Smartgun are in and they are just such a treat to shoot with and hear. Well done!
4. Intense!

The Cons:
1. The map layouts are really boring to be honest, also the mission structure is repetitive. This is a major part of why I think it's worth half price only. I really wish not only the main layouts of the maps were not so linear but that you actually have options on how to progress to and between your goals. It would add so much replayability...
2. ...which is something a game with reduced content would benefit from greatly! I like all the classes, the gunz, the attachments and mods and so forth but campaign wise I feel it's too short for a full price game. I am fine with the amount of content really because A: I am such an Alien fan and this plays well and B: I got it half off. Had I purchased this at full price I would have likely made this review negative/not recommended.
3. The AI really needs to be redone, sometimes the area you are in and the spawns create a really nice battle situation you can work tactically. However you do experience one too many situations where it's either a whack-a-mole battle or just shoot down a tunnel target practice.

Overall, at half price buying the ultimate edition with all the extras has made me happy and I am still playing and unlocking new stuff and having a BLAST! But I do see the wasted potential: great base game that could do with better map layouts, more content and improved AI

My first play was almost a year after release, it was an alright experience. Now with all the free updates and Phantom Liberty as well it has become such an amazing experience. I love the atmosphere, love to immerse myself in Night City as a merc and just "be" in this superbly crafted world.

I hope they make a sequel!

Is this game good? Yes... at sale price.
The pros of this game is the basic gameplay, it's a really fun hybrid of arcade and sim that really nails the balance. It reminds me alot of the old MotoGP game from the early 2000s that leaned more towards sim racing. It has a good variety of bikes, could have used more tracks and variants to keep things fresh as you play.
Now the problem is the content, it really isn't anything to write home about. It very much feels like a 90s game where gameplay was pretty much what you got. I'm comparing to modern racers where there is more than just racing. Think of that Gride game where there was a progression from season to season. Think of games like NFS shift (that this game borrows from a bit) where you had different categories you raced in. Yes you kind of have it in this where you race in different classes but it's not as well done. Think of how much customisation you get nowadays.
Basically this is a nice game but quite bland. There aare still some bugs and glitches but nothign that broke gameplay or crashed the game for me. It's all just unpolished and could use more game modes and content.

Amazing game: THE city builder game of all time. Don't bother waiting for the upcoming SC5 since that will be a dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥ always online game with few of the qualities that makes SC4 amazing.

Why have you not bought it yet?!

It's not a classic style western FPS game, it meets an interesting twist of japanese gameplay a lá time crisis and similar shooters. It's WFPS meets J-arcade and if you get into it: definitely works. Make sure you have a nice computer this is one pretty game!
