Early Access Review
(For pro's and cons, skip to the botttom)
This is probably the most fun few hours i've ever had on any game.

At first, you might look at Besiege and think that, because of the apparent lack of content, it's just another incomplete steam early access game, and therefore not worth the money at this stage. This COULDNT be further from the truth.
From what I've played so far, the levels are all based on simple concepts (move this, destroy that, get to their etc) but it's surprising how replayable the levels are. This is simply down to the fact that you can complete the levels in any way you see fit, building whatever mad contraptions come into your head. The building mechanics in this game are superb, and it's strangely satisfying to see your creation coming together.
On top of that, this game is GORGEOUS. The fire and blood effects look fantastic, and the quirky art style really adds uniqueness to the game.

I do have some minor quibbles, however. Sometimes (and this might just be down to my lack of skill, but it is nonetheless a fault), I find that the camera is a little awkward to control, particulary when you are trying place small components in specific places. On top of that, players of other physics sandbox games may be slightly frustrated at the limited types of parts. However, seeing as this game is still an alpha, I'm willing to forgive it for this, especially as the developers seem to be very active (there are reportedly several other game modes and mechanics already in development).

Overall, besiege is a fantastic little game, and shows real polish, even in its current state. Best of all?
£5/$7.

Pros:
Addictive and replayable levels
Excellent building mechanics
Fantastic art style/graphics
Active, supportive developers and community
Beautifilly polished and (so far in my playtime) bug free
Promises of many future updates
Cheap!

Cons:
Slightly awkward camera movement
Limited amount of components

If Michael Bay made a game, this would be it.

11/10 better than the Transformers movies.

Total play time upon writing this review:
PC: 210 hours
Xbox 360: about a billion years
Endlessly replayable game, with hundreds of side quests to waste your life on.
Plus, the fantastic modding community that this game has means you will NEVER run out of things to do.
And there's a mod which makes chickens explosive. Enough said.
10/10 would destroy my social life all over again.
