Great game. Not done with the story, but I spent ~6 hours straight playing it. Amazing job. Reminds me of Dishonored with how many food items there are.

It's not rocket science! Buy it.
At half price because you're cheap.
However, $40.00 for rocket science isn't that awful.

It's good because it has lots of content and base-building and blueprint/survival progression.
If it's lacking anything, It's probably replay value, but otherwise, amazing game.

The recent multiplayer update has improved the game and the multiplayer drastically, bringing the need for this review to be updated.

It still applies that it is easy to sink hours and that this game is a ton of fun. The game is mostly stable multiplayer wise, and has an amazing modding community with a huge workshop of mods, amazing builds, and scripts to do all sorts of things like automatic docking, displaying tons of info on screens, and a lot more. You can build basically whatever you'd like using the parts provided and play the survival mode as well, in which blocks have resource costs and you mine asteroids/ore patches. There are planets and mods that add planets. The scale of this game is massive and you do whatever you'd like. Overall, while this game still has issues with bugs (such as Klang, the name given to bugginess in rotors/pistons causing the classic "CLANG" sound and exploding everything) these have been greatly reduced. You will get the occasional crash too.

Overall, while it still is buggy, the bugs are avoidable most of the time, and the game's sheer scale and community along with the functional multiplayer, this game is fun to play in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

It's very easy to sink hours and a ton of fun, especially with friends.

However, its buggy mechanics and lack of dedicated multiplayer optimization leads to anger especially as you evolve and build larger and larger grids creating more lag. Yes, It is rocket science, but it is very slow rocket science.

Don't use if you're looking for multiplayer with more than 5 players. Also don't play if you want to keep all your creations with 100% certainty.
Despite the above I gave it a 7.5 for the great sandbox and survival progression. Could use higher-tier items in the endgame.

Not the first time I've wanted to scream like a girl, or did scream like a girl, but definitely not the last.

Very scary.

Absolutely wonderful soundtrack, matches the game perfectly.
10/10, probably one of the best soundtracks for a game I've heard.

Really fun, workshop support is the best you'll see.

Anyways, you skeptics thinking its real expensive for farming game and you might get bored... I thought this at first...
then I had all those hours /\... Worth it. Buy it you won't regret paying 15 dollars. better than buying 3 monster ice creams at my local ice cream shop.
CAUSE WHY NOT GET ALEX BRAND ICE CREAM IN SUMMER? (That's a reference to the game)
