I could discourse about how incredible this game is and how it set the tone for the immersive sim genre and blah blah blah. I could do that, sure.

But I'm gonna be honest, I don't even really care about the official campaign itself. I just like playing through the fan missions because CHRIST, the fan mission community around this game and its sequel are utterly insane. Like, they've done so much and they're STILL going! It's phenomenal.

So, if you get this game, after installing TFix so that it doesn't run like utter ♥♥♥♥, get yourself a fan mission loader (I use Angelloader, just google it) and go get some fan missions. I use thiefguild.com, which has reviews and ratings for fan missions so you can find the best ones first. It doesn't host the missions—some have mirror links provided, some don't—but if you just google "Thief Gold [insert fan mission name]", you'll probably find it on the ttlg.com forums.

I promise. You will enjoy it. Personal recommendations for starting fan missions are "Catacombs of Knoss Remastered" and "Ascend The Dim Valley."
