As much as I love the game - both the original xbox version and the later released TLC, this Anniversary edition is not worth the money - yet.

Coming off just finishing TLC again a few months ago, I honestly don't think the new textures are all that much of an improvement. Sadly, that was the main grab for most of us. Imagine TLC with a higher polygon count, and that's what we are dealing with for the most part. There is a bit more detail on the armor, however the charater models seem to somehow look even worse. These graphics may have been mid-end 5 years ago.

Playing with a 360 controller, the new menu seems a bit clunky and the camera is definitely wobbly. Never bothered with KB+M, but I can definitely see why it is frustrating. Many of the glitches and issues from the original xbox release 10 years ago are still prevalent, unfortunately. Nothing game-breaking, but animations are far from smooth and the new combat system is not what I would call 'intuitive'.

One of the things that really disappoints me is how simple the achievements are. Nearly every achievement outside of the story-related ones give you two ways to attain it, making them all incredibly easy. "Unlock all demon doors... Or flip the bird at one locked one" is hardly anything to be proud of.

Hopefully the devs step up to the plate and fix some of the more severe issues, such as the KB+M compatibility. I'd love to see some additional content and better textures, but if they didn't do it while 'developing' this re-release, I can't se it happening now. Maybe the modding community can have a go at it.. Regardless, I will play this through. Still love the game, would happily recommend it to someone who has never played Fable before, but not in it's current state and NOT at $35.
