I played a few hours and loving it so far

I played a few hours and I'm pretty impressed

*STORY SPOILER KIND OF* I was very excited for this after Mafia 3 disappointed me and having replayed Mafia 2 a million times. Having said that, I can't help but feel disappointed now that I've finished the game. This should be renamed Mafia: The Love Story because that's what it felt like to me. I kept waiting for the step up from the countryside to real mafia life but at some point I realized it's just not going to happen. Not to mention the fact they've degraded the combat in the game to a knife fight arcade experience. My character who carries two firearms and grenades gets tackled and is now forced into a knife duel... And of course it's a very closed world with every race feeling sold.

Pros:
When you do get to shoot, it's fun and rewarding because there is a finite number of enemies so you can actually clear areas.
Horse and vehicle system are decent.

Cons:
Story more focused on the love story and the story itself feels like a side note from the middle on.
Constant crashes.
The knife fights feel like an arcade mode and are very forced down your throat in every scenario.
No open world or activities outside of the main storyline.
