It was easy to understand the mechanics and how the system works, tutorial did its job.
Absolutely love the artwork in this.

Super fun take on the roguelite genre with the use of monster taming.

Plenty of monsters available to discover, with a large bundle of skills for them to learn. Tutorial does a solid job introducing the games mechanics, but obviously, the best way is simply playing. Mixing and matching to find your best builds.

Turn based battle system is a familiar concept that works.

Absolutely loved the art!

As some people mentioned, a couple of QoL changes would be a skip dialogue button and maybe a speed boost during battles so battles are a little bit faster. Not a huge deal, but I feel some people would love it.

Like most reviewers, I agree that the standalone version is superior

But it doesn't change the fact the steam version of Retroarch still gets the job done.

Getting to replay those old classics all over again is so easy.

Generational game.

Whether it was just playing the normal CT vs T, 24/7 Iceworld, Warcraft Mod..it had everything.

I miss those days...

If you are a fan of Firewatch or What Remains of Edith Fitch, give Arctic Awakening a try.

It's an absolutely beautiful game from start to finish.
Great Voice Acting
Solid story about Isolation, Companionship and humanity itself.

I didn't have any performance issues to speak of, but I did experience some clipping issues in regards to interacting with objects and such, with one instance making me stuck. Thankfully, the Developers added a restart scene option.

Overall, a fun 9+ hour experience.

Charming character and environmental design in a familiar genre.
Easy to learn, a little harder to master.
Worked well with a controller!

A short, but incredibly fun mashup of genres filled with frog jokes.
