Crashed so i refunded

I REALLLLLLYYYY wanted to like this game. But i just cant. Combat and visuals are top notch, but the dialogue is just pure cringe.

Its like Disney got hold of the series and maybe some people like that type of "marvel" chatter. But not me.

I obviously never got far but im not made of money and ill refund this title. Its really a shame. I really wanted to like this, its been a while since i could sink my teeth into a well made rpg after BG3.

But that is not what this title is. Maybe on sale down the line

Just nah, uninstall. I dont have time for this ♥♥♥♥ in a single player game.

The game is good ish. The graphics are good for "Bethesda" Story is decent, but everything else follows the same Bethesda plotline. Go here do this, oh you have superpowers. Okay go here make them better. Oh no the big bads found us you have some big decisions to make. This system just cant stand up to scrutiny after BG3. I probably will finish it someday. But for now i just cant be bothered.

I dont normally review games, but all i can say is WOW. This game was absolutely incredible.

This is an incredible RPG. Still not done the first act as of writing and im afraid to complete it. If you like story, role playing, depth and multiple ways to complete objectives this is for you.

This is a great game that will only get better as time goes on. Not exactly what we were promised but dont let that deter you from enjoying it. CDPR are masters of story telling and creating incredible characters you can believe, the gunplay and weapon variety are also great. They have some kinks to work out, but if this game ages anything like The Witcher we are in for a treat.

Game is fun when it works. Only game ive bought in a long time that CONSTANTLY crashes. Between crashing to desktop from ANY interruption in internet connection, (which can be remedied by unplugging your computer from the internet before launching), or just plain crashing for no discernible reason. I just cant play it. My drivers are up to date, and my Pc is rock solid. 3930k and a Rx 5700 xt. Sucks but thats the truth. Ive requested a refund, but i dont know if it will go through with 4 hours play time.

Edit. after messing around with the settings and disabling dx 12 the game seems to work now. Hasnt crashed since. Its fun. To summarize now that it actually works. Id say get the game on sale. I dont know how the game shipped in this state, but it is fun.

While it lacks the complexity of Forged Alliance it has a unique charm and more of a story than the former. Its fun.

Absolutely fantastic game. Its not just a remake with fancy textures, its a lovingly crafted experience that perfectly preserves the orignal soul of the game. THIS is what Half-Life looked in my minds eye when remembering it as a child when I first played it. Thank you CrowBar Collective!
