Overall this is a good Riichi Mahjong client that's somewhat approachable for new players too.

Details
The Good
  • The UI during gameplay is pretty clean. I also love the big buttons that pop up when you can Riichi, Ron or Tsumo
  • Logs of your recently played games can be reviewed and you can also let an AI analyze them to figure out where you could have played better. It's very helpful although it does not offer explanations so external help is usually still needed if you want to improve
  • There is an always-accessible list of all Yakus
  • You can enable arabic numbers on the tiles. Makes it a lot easier to get into the game for the first time
  • Funny emotes
  • You can view some nice statistics about your play history like rank distribution or how many of each Yaku you've achieved
  • The player counts are pretty decent. At certain times of the day you may not be able to find a match easily in the lower ranked rooms but overall it's pretty active
  • There are some item skins you can get through collecting achievements which is nice
  • You can always rejoin a match even after your game has closed
  • There are some silly alternate game modes to try

The Bad
  • There are some naughty characters and skins. Might be offputting
  • Ranked games can be very punishing. If you come in 4th you will lose a lot of rank points
  • Riichi Mahjong is a game of luck at its core so there will be games where you just feel like there was nothing you could have done to win. But once it's your time to get lucky you will feel better again!
  • Folding, even with a strong hand, is often the best play but it hurts so much
  • You don't get a lot of time to check somebody's results after they win a hand
  • The ingame tutorial is not the best and it's even a bit misleading for beginners

The Ugly / The Gacha
  • Getting pulls for free is rare (one or two per event / month)
  • Low success rate for how rare it is to get a pull (1/20 for a character)
  • If you accumulate enough pulls then you can redeem a gacha item of your choosing but it will take a looong time to accumulate. 150 for a character and 50 for any other decorative item
  • Things you can get: Music that plays when you riichi, lobby music, skins for your tiles, skins for your table, skins for your riichi stick, characters (which all come with their own emotes), riichi effects, winning effects and more
  • There's no pay to win at least
  • Insane pricing on every microtransaction aside from the monthly pass

Actually, you should not even look at my mod at all because it's a terrible reference for translation mods due to how it works (it replaces entire files instead of only the text)

I'm afraid I won't be able to tell you much. If you ask this because I made a mod altering the text in the game then you can find everything I know just by looking at the files of the mod...
