actually the better tf2

A gold-standard game in the story FPS genre. The way Valve is able to push you along the path with no maps or quest markers, and gives you a full narrative experience with no cutscenes, lore books, or painful exposition is such a subtle yet weirdly refreshing play. There is an atmosphere to this game that only other Valve titles like Portal are able to achieve. They seem like simple games on the surface, yet were designed with such genius that you find yourself breezing through many sections without second thought, but getting snagged in all the right areas. The Source engine delivers timeless graphics along with physics that create very engaging puzzles and allow the world to be interacted with in ways that has yet to be duplicated to this day.
Ravenholm is my favorite part as it gives you a gritty playground to try out your recently acquired toy (gravity gun), but it doesn't tell you how to use it. The way this game forces you into demanding situations and allows no other way out but to use your noggin or git gud is reminiscent of a bygone era in gaming of trial-and-error gameplay.
The story itself is definitely akin to "show don't tell" where one could honestly play the entire series and still have no clue what is going on, which in my opinion is fine with gameplay this good. They don't bore you with long dialogue, they don't hold you hand and spoon feed you a novel, they drop you in a let you shoot at ♥♥♥♥ which is exactly what one wants to do when playing a shooter. I seriously can't believe this came out in 2004. Just play it.

4. Wait until everyone inevitably lands on it and dies

I really nice remake of Half Life, however the added content in Xen really slows down the playtime for not very fun puzzle mechanics.

I really fun old source shooter. If you like Day of Defeat, CS Source, or TF2 it is definitely worth playing. Although the servers aren't as populated as they used to be.

how could something so promising turn out so ♥♥♥♥. last update made it a complete laggy mess, and so far all support for this title has removed much of my anticipation. I and many others thought this would be a turn around in the fps market but it seems to just be another half-baked, buggy cash grab with all the bells and whistles of your run-of-the-mill fortnite CoD wannabe r@pe baby. Currently not worth $70, buy it on sale or stay away from it
