The combat and RPG system is so good, 10/10 would not play skyrim ever again.

I have platinum for DS3 on PS4 so game time for PC is not an accurate representation of my actual experience with the game. Overall it's an okay souls PvE game but the PvP atm is just bad, so bad that I don't think they can fix it even with DLCs and patches because the problem is not specific weapons but the game mechanics. People like to complain about poise (and they're justified most of the time) but the most serious problem is rolls being too cheap. The reason meta weapons all have one or two relatively fast attacks is that it's just much much easier to roll catch and if you can't roll catch you can't do ♥♥♥♥ in PvP, both in invasions and duels.

It's the end of the series, and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the one thing that'll keep people playing for years, just so some newcomers can have a slightly better PvE experience.

10/10 WORKING AS INTENDED.

Coming from Dark souls, the combat in this game feels MUCH MUCH more boring. Basically, with the sword, you spam (X), and occasionally, whenever you fancy you can hold (X) to do an artorias flip. And even with the tweaks and a controller the input feels incredibly laggy and inresponsive, which makes dodging enemy attacks very frustrating. You'd figure that in an 'action' game at least the actions will be good, but apparently this is not the case.

Anyways, if you get it from a bundle by all means try it out for yourself but I wouldn't recommend this. I'm probably not going to finish this either cause there're much better games out there.

Also, terrible PC port, NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GRAPHICS OPTIONS AT ALL! You can only change resolution, V-sync and brightness, that's it. V-sync also doesn't work and you have to use the NVidia Panel.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this game to anyone given this SW paywall fiasco.

Furthermore, I've decided to quit buying games from steam altogether and instead buy games from GOG. It's not like I'm going to enjoy the same old sh*tty AAA releases anyway. This is the price we pay as PC gamers for relying solely on steam for games. Big companies are GOING to sh*t all over us no matter how nice they seem at first. It doesn't help that we have gaming media that instead of advocating for consumer rights call gamers "entitled", "misogynistic". I'm done. Make everything DLC for all I care, you can choke on your money, valve & bethesda.

Now that they've taken down paid mods, I'm ready to make this a positive review instead. Skyrim is a good game. Although I'm not big into the skyrim modding scene, I'm going to consider donating to modders future if I find a great mod, and so should you. Modders work really hard to make our games better, and their work should be appreciated and properly compensated.

Great game. The ending hit me hard. One of the best narrative-focused game out there.

This game feels like a bad joke. It also suffer from most common problems in puzzle games.
Only redeeming factor for me is the gruelsome murder scenes, but even this is only mildly entertaining.

Great environment, great music, great voice acting.

The story is a bit too predictable IMO, I figured out the ending about half way thru the story. Same old clicle philosophical musing about free will, identity and all that, blah blah blah

Level design can be better, gun fight is okay for a story-oriented puzzle game.

Can be a bit frustrating if you get stuck and don't know what to do, but that's kind of the point for these kind of games.

This is my first review.

Brothers is one of the best games I've ever played.

The control might take some time to get used to, especially if you are not familiar with playing games with controllers. Somewhat annoying is how when the two brothers are moving at the same time, it is sometimes easy to confuse which pad control which brother. Luckily the game isn't that exacting on these kind of controls (except the snow monster escape sequence, which is rather short) so for the most part you can simply just stop moving one brother and focus on the other.

The puzzles in this game are really interesting to solve, I certainly didn't feel bored when solving each new one. There is also a boss fight with a spider which is particularly interesting.

Although I'm largely immune to "emotional manipulation" in stories, the death of the older brother really made me sad. The sequences after the death of him is even more emotional, when you instinctively moves the left gamepad and suddenly realizes that the smaller brother is really on his own now.

There are also some quite funny bits in the game. There is one goat riding sequence that for some reason made me really happy, the white rabbit/black rabbits bit is also quite amusing.

Overall, an interesting game with a decent story and innovative new control mechanism. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in spending about ~ 3hrs on a decent story driven adventure.

The only bad thing I can think of about this game is that it's a bit too short.
