Won't recommend cause the boss fights are so tough and there are nothing and i say NOTHING stopping you from falling off and dying.

I have only played the easy difficulty and i would say its still decent. Just that the 5 stars police chase can be annoying at times. the police if they missed the npc they will drive into you resulting in your loss of speed which will make you unable to get first place unless its a long race with at least 2 laps or a lot of turns with multiple laps. Good thing is they give you 10 retries every half of the day aka either morning or night race.
