A steep learning curve but it's satisfying when it all clicks. Most of the bosses are great and the exploration is rewarding, bar a few zones and late game bosses.

It lives up as a sequel to Hollow Knight and delivers exceptionally well on the story again, but there's some gameplay Choices(tm) that are questionable at best and outright bizarre at worst.

You're telling me this sub-based instant messenger client where you can make your own avatar has a whole game and narrative attached to it? Really? I don't believe you.

Jokes aside, the story was incredible all the way to the end of Endwalker. The consistent quality of the narrative, characters, and even the music quality blows a lot of competition out of the water. Extra credit is due for not a single thing being retconned from even the ancient 1.0 release.

For those who are new, ARR is an awful slog that suffers from being a product of its time, but it sets very important foundations for the rest of the expansions.

There's a challenge for everyone with Extreme, Savage, and Ultimate versions of battles. (And Unreal but ♥♥♥♥ those)

Besides these, endgame is fashion and housing, or fishing if you are cultured.

10/10 would lose another 2k hours to XIV again.

Yoshi-P pls give us more glam plates I need them desperately I'm begging you.

Bewteen all the explosions and enemies and haphazardly picking up and/or making wands that I have no idea will work or not, I'm having fun! The devs are very passionate about this game and it even includes mod support. Totally worth it!

I bought the game a second time after 250-300 hours on the Microsoft Store because it's that good. Some of my achievements wont sync though.

They got rid of Duos and Solo FPP on the OCE servers.

What the ♥♥♥♥.

This used to be a chill out game with one of my old close friends but not anymore I guess.

The fact this game is still getting updated 8 years since its release date just shows how much the devs care about their game, even if the update was pushed into early next year.

I've played Terraria on and off ever since it first came out and it definitely contests for being my favourite game of all time. Not that I can make my mind up about what game that is anyway A ton of bosses, thousands of items, hundreds of weapons, infinite creativity, and it's all getting increased in the next update. Then there are the mods, which are fantastic and bring out even more of Terraria's strengths. Some are so massive that it brought me down into being terrified and not knowing what to do, slowly understanding mechanics, just like all those years ago when I began Terraria for the first time. It's a great feeling, and once you do get to the stage where you can steamroll through Terraria, you'll find that you'll never stop learning about some crazy hidden mechanics or a new strategy, or a new armour stat combination.

Terraria is absolutely worth the full price tag and is a steal when discounted, which is often. So go buy it if you haven't; you won't regret it.
