The new modes are neat, fast forward feature is convenient. Otherwise an unpolished mess that's not really worth it. This probably would have been excusable if they added all the minigames and such from the mobile version, but ultimately the new content isn't substantial enough to justify its price tag.
GOTY Edition is $5.

The laundry list:
- (FIXED) No Dynamic Music
- Dynamic music has broken timing, starting and stopping early or at incorrect times
- (FIXED) On high speeds, winning fanfare overlaps with reward screen
- Grave Buster sometimes doesn't remove graves
- (FIXED) Pause menu doesn't play the pause sound
- Pause menu no longer pauses the music
- The pause menu does not have a button in the top right corner in the pick your seeds menu despite being present in gameplay
- Spacebar no longer pauses
- Right-clicking the seed selector no longer deselects seeds
- Zen Garden/Plant Preview music plays when viewing zombie notes, which are supposed to be silent
- Puzzle mode is available before the present that is supposed to unlock the mode appears
- Butter no longer reveals locations of invisible enemies in Invisighoul
- The bonus levels feel like they should be in a second page of the minigames tab, not the adventure tab
- Bonus levels do not have completion trophies
- Next buttons in shop appear and trigger shop transition animations when there's only 1 page of items
- Shop no longer has opening animation
- Shop Change-page animation doesn't have sound
- Huge wave text is no longer animated, final wave text still is
- Big Trouble Little Zombies move too slowly
- (FIXED) The conveyor belt does not have enough slots
- Unlocked Minigames no longer play sound
- (FIXED) Minigame menu no longer plays the "pick your seeds" track
- Zen Garden Tool Slot Hitboxes don't match the sprites
- On high refresh rates, zombies appear above graves before they rise from them
- (FIXED) Flags in the progress bar no longer raise
- Jack-In-The-Box Zombies sometimes don't play pop goes the weasel
- Pole-Vaulters sometimes don't play the boioioioing sound
- When a plant is placed behind spikeweed, zombies will sometimes walk out of range of the spikeweed before eating the plant
- Disco Zombie's dance cycle is prone to breaking
- Purchasing a rake after entering the shop from the pick your seeds menu does not add the rake to the level
- When leaving a level mid-way, buying a rake, and re-entering the level, the rake appears despite zombies already being spawned
- Leaving a level after placing a rake, using the rest of your rakes on other levels, closing and re-opening the game, buying the rake again, then re-entering the original level, a second rake will be placed
- If a sun plant, lily pad, etc. is in the final seed slot during a level where its necessary, the game will erroneously warn you that its not selected
- Cloudy Day 12 is hard :(
- Sunflower mouths from their sleeping animations on Cloudy Day sometimes remain during daylight segments
- Flower picking on the main menu has broken animations and no sound
- Credits song is no longer sequenced in game, its just a crusty, visibly compressed mp4
- Plants cannot be rapidly deselected in the plant select menu
- Entering the shop from the Zen garden does not automatically put you on its respective shop page
- (SEMI-FIXED) Upgrade Plant seeds do not appear darkened when there's no base plant to upgrade. In the fix, Cattails still appear plantable even if all lily pads have plants on them.
- In-progress survival levels do not show the amount of flags completed in the selection menu
- Conehead zombies sometimes don't play the proper hit sounds, making identifying them in the fog impossible
- Inconsistent Almanac Icon Sizes
- (SEMI-FIXED) You must wait for tools to complete their animations before using another in Zen Garden. In the fix, you can now select new items before the previous ones are completed, but you're still required to wait until the previous animation is completed before using a new tool.
- (SEMI-FIXED) The effects of some Zen Garden items happen before their animations are completed. In the fix, some timings are still off.
- Survival trophy says "you unlocked a new survival mode" even when you haven't
- (FIXED) Buying a cherry bomb in Vasebreaker sometimes breaks
- Visiting the tree of wisdom right after purchasing it softlocks the game
- The Tree of Wisdom will reveal secret modes that are not yet present on the pause menu. This happened to me with future glasses and dancing zombies
- Upgrade plants on survival endless do not have a plus sign on their sun cost, having no indication that they increase in value
- (FIXED) Survival Endless records are not displayed in the survival menu unless the run has been lost
- (FIXED) If a cob cannon is eaten, the game crashes
- (FIXED) When viewing your lawn in survival mode, you need to click "view lawn" again to return to seed selection. Previously, despite not using a controller, an unclickable controller glyph to return is displayed. In the previous "fix", the controller glyph is gone, but the redundant "back" text still remains.
- Redundant "Click To Continue" text when viewing lawn during Survival
- Upgrade plants will sometimes break and become unselectable despite being plantable
- Leaving and re-entering a level after replacing an imitator plant with a regular plant will make that plant gray, notably creating gray upgrade plants
- No Zombatar
- Mustaches only toggle on newly spawned zombies, whereas future glasses appear on existing zombies
- (FIXED) Opening the Almanac from the Pick Your Seeds Menu does not disable the seed picking UI, allowing you to inadvertently select seeds and even start the game from the almanac menu
- (FIXED) RIP Mode Guitar Riffs and SFX are loud and out of place
- RIP Mode winning fanfare is not considered music, whereas normal fanfare is
- (FIXED) When moving plants to the aquarium garden, it does not show you valid spots to place the plant
- The wheelbarrow does not show the plant its carrying until you select it
- Daisies have Z-fighting
- (FIXED) Daisies stop working when entering a new level
- Daisies render over graves
- Tree Food plays the pouring sound when selecting
- Feeding the tree of wisdom takes way longer than it should
- (FIXED) "Life Well Lived" achievement is broken
- If a zombie reaches the house right after climbing a ladder, it will appear to float as it enters and clips through the house
- The game sometimes freezes on launch
- (FIXED) The Golden Sunflower Trophy does not display on the main menu after collecting it
- (FIXED) Purchased Zen Garden Marigolds no longer come in multiple colors
