I don't really like autobattlers, and even though this game obviously is an autobattler, I'm having quite a good time.
Anchors Lament is basically a grid synergy builder with a bunch of different stats,
and I love how you can essentially make every single unit super overpowered with the right layout.
The inclusion of equipment (items that add bonus effects to your units) makes it especially satisfying to pull this off.
There's a fair share of luck involved in what items you get, but with planning and understanding of the mechanics, it makes for a great experience.

Released too early, the gameplay is better, the polish is definitely not.
Trash progression, no lobby browser, no offline solo, no pre-planning.
It's competing with a game that has had like, a decade of updates, and comparing the amount of content on launch it's not that different than payday 2, but releasing with such lacking multiplayer... kinda cringe.
Giving an encouraging thumbs up to the devs cus the gameplay is good, but most of everything else s u c k s.

Yes, good overall, only gripe I have is that it's hard to aim on a 2d screen in a 3d environment when you have to aim exactly on your target to hit, and there's bullet travel time. If you predict movement and shoot in front of your target, the bullet will hit the ground or some other random invisible wall and you'll miss your shot.
