Any game with a well implemented RPG element will reward a player for; utilizing the tools it gives them, being willing to learn and adapt their approach, and gaining a deeper understanding on the underlying mechanics. It is up to the player to balance their playstyle rigidity with having a satisfyingly challenging experience.
