LETS NOT FORGET.... Salamander players have to pay twice for their cosmetics and champion whereas other chapters pay once... And nothing either of the salamanders packs adds is nearly as good as the packs for the other chapters.

Another half-baked, minimal effort for the Salamanders. You get less than half of the cosmetic items that all of the other cosmetic chapter packs have which is ridiculous when you consider how the salamanders are known for being craftsmen and customising their own armour.

No chest, arms or leg items. Just a very poor backpack skin, 2 of essentially the same helmet and alright shoulder customisation parts. The left shoulder is the stupid metallic texture so that even warpstone glow, literally the Salamanders colour, isn't the correct shade of green any more.

Coupled with the salamander champion being a sniper (what?) and only being able to use the champion cosmetics for the vanguard and sniper it's just another kick in the teeth.

Congrats on earning my first negative review.

Even better than The Room 1! Thoroughly enjoyed this game and can't wait to start The Room 3!

Honestly one of the best puzzle games I have played for a very long time

The game has a lot of promise but… At the moment I can’t recommend this game.

The main issue I have is that the Anti Cheat they use ‘ACE’ stops me from playing some other multiplayer games as the anti-cheat conflicts with them AND is running even when Delta Force isn’t open.
An example is, I couldn’t play Squad which uses easy anti cheat as I got the error message please close ACE-Base first. You can’t close ACE-Base without uninstalling Delta Force.

Although the gameplay is fun at times, there are a lot of maps that turn into a game of ‘can we kill the campers’. There are SO MANY grenades and explosives in this game too, it’s ridiculous. I have played games were you can’t advance through a choke point because there is a constant stream of grenades/explosives being thrown/fired at you.

Additionally there are SO MANY different currencies in the game it’s a minefield of what on earth does this do.

The operators are quite cool but there are no faction/team colours for them other than the player names so in the heat of battle it’s easy to mistake an enemy for a friendly at very close range.

The weapon customisation is a very cool touch and adds a new spin on play your way.

Thankfully there doesn’t seem to be any pay to win.

I will keep en eye on this but for now, mostly due to the anti cheat issue, it’s a hard pass

I had heard mixed things since Team17 took over and I had previously refunded due to really poor performance...

Happy to say that now the game is extremely enjoyable and all the previous performance issues I had are completely gone!

Note: A mic is a MUST at the bare minimum for this game, you will not achieve anything if you cannot communicate in this game.

A very enjoyable game, intense and unforgiving gameplay, a nice take on the battlefield with the focus on team play, capturing objectives, and holding the line instead of your standard ticket bleed mechanic.

Highly recommend this, a very enjoyable shooter.

My only regret is that it took me so long to find this game and that I didn’t play it during its earlier days.

Enjoyable solo, best played coop with friends.

I love it!

Honestly one of the best games I've played. Relaxing and exciting all in one. I don't even know where to start this review, just buy it!

15 hours in and still finding new things to do, discovering new stuff and thoroughly enjoying the game!

Best value for money I've had from a game for a while.

Played again very recently. A LOT of fun, a great crossover between a full simulation (think Arma 3) and more arcadey shooters (Battlefield).

If you have played Battlebit remastered recently but fancy something a bit more realistic, Squad is an excellent choice. The same concepts and ideas with regards to gameplay but more brutal and teamwork/tactics are an absolute must!

The sounds are AWESOME! Think JSRS sound mod for the Arma fans!

Early Access Review
The AI could use a little refinement but it's still an enjoyable challenge. At times the AI seems a bit stupid... and other it has the Arma 3 effect of being unrealistically accurate and can spot you from an absolute mile off through shrubland etc.

The maps are really detailed, varied and enjoyable to explore. The way the game mixes up objective locations and insert points means the game is always a little bit different each time.

The attention to detail with weapon attachments, sights, function, weapon readiness and manipulation, weapon weight, arm tiredness and player customisation is absolutely outstanding!

I know it's early access but I'm really looking forward to what this game has to offer in the future, thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Early Access Review
TL;DR - Early access, expect a few bugs. Couple of annoying AI quirks. However, overall a fantastic game! A must buy for anyone who enjoyed Rainbow 6 or SWAT4, it is more punishing. One of the best tactical shooters out for a LOOOONG time. Highly recommended!

It is early access and there are a few bugs/bits that need fixing but that is to be expected. Don't be disappointed by this! They vary from AI needing a little tweaking to silly things like a light source not having a light modelled in the game.

If you played and enjoyed Rainbow 6 or SWAT4 this IS the game for you. It is harder than those games, occasionally the AI is a little too accurate at shooting you through surfaces... But on the flip side the penetration mechanics are really cool. There is plenty of customisation in the headquarters already, Heavy/Light armour, different head gear with different purposes (locker room), changing of appearance and uniform type if you have them (mirror) and customisation of weapon attachments (between the shoot house and firing range). Note: If your team runs MP5's and you run an M4, you can customise the MP5 for yourself and your team will use the same attachments on their MP5's even if you switch back to the M4 for yourself.

If you played SWAT4 this game will feel very familiar... If you didn't play SWAT4 (what is wrong with you? :P) you're in for a treat! Best tactical shooter I've played for a long time!

The camera can be a bit fiddly at times and this occasionally makes the top down only view a bit of a pain. However, the gameplay is a lot of fun. There are lots of customisation options (you unlock more camos as you rank up) to allow you to play how you want and with a good group you can get some great tactics going. The singleplayer team mate AI needs some work... They can be a bit stupid at times and occasionally get spotted or start firefights at the worst times.

Generally though I've had a lot of fun with this game and recommend it. Play on the realism difficulty if you want to get the most out of this game. Occasionally frustrating but it makes completing the mission much more satisfying.
