Creator apparently went on a massive transphobic and holocaust-denying rant right before MandaloreGaming's video came out and entirely buried the fallout from that in a sea of hype. If I had known about this, I would not have bought the game. Don't think I can post links in this, but the receipts are pretty easy to find online once you know what you're looking for.

First of all, do NOT dismiss the warnings. This is easily the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing I've ever read/played, and I write horror fiction in my spare time.
Saya No Uta is one of the best examples of honest-to-god Lovecraftian cosmicish horror on the market. The writing is superb (if occasionally slightly overwrought), and the story, along with the concepts behind it, is handled spectacularly. Saying anything more specific beyond the Steam page summary would spoil the plot, but know that depending on what route you take this game will make you feel genuine sorrow for an eldritch abomination.
While people say that the removal of the h-scenes is annoying, I believe that it honestly improves the flow. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a story with a focus on body horror, lewd just takes you out of your immersion in my opinion.
I only have two real complaints. Firstly, the story seems like it will be fairly short. I've gotten two out of I believe three or four endings in the playtime I have now, and that's with added time to mentally recover from some of the ♥♥♥♥ in this. Secondly, and this is probably a controversial opinion, some of the stuff in this was honestly unnecessarily....rapey, for lack of a better word. I know that some people will argue with me on that, but this would have been just as horrifying without it.
That said, if you have a strong enough stomach, I still recommend this to death.
And, to quote the opening, "G$Hsy%3whY&Xtr1p%3?"

I once missed an entire day of school because I wanted to check on one of my save games before I left and didn't notice 6 hours had passed until someone texted me asking where the ♥♥♥♥ I had been that day.
10/10 would miss two tests and a lecture so that I can enslave an entire species.

This game is so manly that you WILL grow hair on your chest, regardless of what gender/set of hormones/whatever you are.
Also fun gameplay and ♥♥♥♥ but even if there wasn't you should buy this for the sole reason of the extremely manly flexing.

Keep in mind, even before these near-300 hours I had been playing this game off of Steam since its release.
While not INCREDIBLY deep, Empire at War still has its own complexities and interesting ideas (especially the Galactic Conquest mode, which may be my favourite RTS mechanic ever created) and, of course, has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STAR WARS UNITS. On top of that, the modding community is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. There are total conversion mods for every time period, au, and idea you could ever think of.
In short, if you're an even vague Star Wars and RTS fan, buy this damn game.

This is not a game that will change your view of the world.
This is not a game that raises questions, other than "Would it be fun to beat someones head in with a chair?", to which the answer is "Yes".
This is a game about brutally murdering everyone in a building as insanely and as viscerally as possible as bodies and punches fly past you and everyone loses their minds and limbs.
And by god, is it fun.
