If you like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, this is a bit like the Samurai version. Graphics are really beautiful, and the dynamic, minimal HUD really lets you get immersed in the world without compromising on (for example) knowing where you're going!

Just a great game. Finished the main story yesterday with around 100 hours played. Still two DLCs and lots of side quests ahead. Across the board improved over KCD1; everything from combat to graphics is better. I was completely immersed and will definitely be replaying.

Literally the best game I've ever played. Sometimes it hardly feels like a game at all - the amount of life the open world has is unparalleled and the story is incredibly deep. The graphics are amazing, gameplay is really fun, and the missions are in a different class as well. I'm 142 hours in and I don't think I've even played half the game's content over one and a half playthroughs.

It's a shame they aren't developing any expansions though - there is a lot of room for extra story! Maybe a RDR 3 will take up the mantle :)

Easy to learn, hard to master strategy game. Nothing too complicated, and a refreshing take on top-down strategy. Good if you just want something to play for a few minutes!

It's a weird feeling to not recommend a game that I have played for 60 hours, but honestly, unless you are desperate for a medieval RPG, it's not worth it. It is fantastically immersive, in the sense that, starting as a peasant boy, you can do absolutely nothing. You can't fight, you can't steal, you can't read, you can barely even talk!

Once you've sunk some serious time in and have built up enough skill and strength to armour up properly, there are hints of fun now and again, but the game is ridden with inflexible missions and impossible-to-predict consequences. This is all good for an RPG, as it makes it feel real, but combined with the frequent game-breaking bugs, it is also incredibly frustrating. I won't even get into problems like how you can't pick a lock on a controller but have to switch to M+K just to do so.

I have had fun playing the game, but the frustrating and boring parts far outweigh it. As I write this I have begun a main quest that I can't get out of which is very tedious (not to mention difficult). When things go well, it's a beautiful game that has nuanced and outstanding gameplay, but when things go badly it's infuriatingly difficult, tedious, and, at times, outright bugged. Only buy it if it's cheap and/or you know for sure that you don't mind it being like this.
