Great game, great story, one of best horror story game on the market

I can smell every single drop of sweat of every players of this game, don't touch it with a finger.

Wanna play Star Citizen but either don't have 10 000 $ to put into a game and has actual content ? Play Elite

The game is fun, would love to recommend it, but the game optimisation is non existent at best and the game is all about killing bugs but maybe they need to fix them first. Also since last patch (22-03-2024) the game is a crashfest

I've played during the beta and some of the balancing issues encountered in the beta are still there, but movements were counterbalancing the bad meta, otherwise the game was FUN. But somehow for the release, they made the balancing even worst and the 2 medium / heavy meta is still prominent, they somehow successfully nerfed the movement to a point where you feel slow and it feels janky/sluggish. Until they fix the movements, balances the heavy / medium class and somehow find a way against third partying strats, the game is not worth a positive note. Am I saying the game is bad and you shouldn't play ? Not at all. You probably will have fun if you play with your friends, but once you get through the honeymoon phase, the issue explained above will make your experience miserable.

Edit above still accurate, absolute dogwater of a matchmaking, sweatfest and absolute unbalanced mess. The only peoples left playing this game are the jobless 15 years old who want to sweat. There's no place for any casual in this game, stay away.

Fun game

This game is one of the game I had the most fun in years, it itches something in your head that no other game is able to itch. The game is rewarding for your time played and the MTX is one of the best in the industry. It has a great atmosphere and has amazing lore that respect the Outlast universe.

The issue is that Red barrel doesn't know how to do live service games, that they want to accept it or not, Outlast Trials is live service, but they are not treating it as such. For the past year or so, they've had a couple of "seasonal update" and always teased some "amazing" new trials, events and Prime Asset. The truth is that those "amazing" new content updates are just the same reheated foods, they put some variators into an existing trials and call it "new" content. Those new events ? They are all the same events they've done 6 months before.

Now let's talk about Invasion, truthfully, it shows again the lack of competence on how to make a live service game from Red barrel, the idea of Invasion is amazing. The execution is bareable at best, the invaders are just ultra giga nerfed michael meyers from DBD, at this point they could've just put the invaders on the posters in the map and it would've been the same impact. The mode will probably popular for the first week, but will be forgotten the week after, as no one would actually play it.

Don't get me wrong the core gameplay loop of Outlast trials is one of the most unique in the gaming scene right now, but the lack of interest and dedication from Red barrels is what is going to ruin the game. They are treating Outlast Trials as their bastard son, which they are only supporting because it's their only source of income and it is what they are using to stay afloat, not because they actually care.

This game give me existential crisis. Really recommend.

I have nothing left, but at least my stress is gone. 100% recommend

10/10 would recommend, Almost played 8 hrs straight, I've never been more addicted than that. In all seriousness they should add some employee and stock management options, because you have to manage them individually and manually and it's a pain in the ass after some times.
