A lot of unjustified hate, imo. Overall solid game, but nothing groundbreaking. I think it being announced as the big surprise at The Game Awards raised people's expectations, along with the fact it's from a lot of devs who worked on Titanfall and Apex Legends.

It definitly should have launched as a 5v5 game and the inclusion merely days after release implies it was designed as such, but changed direction late in development.

There's criticism like stability (occasional game crashes, servers not working and performance could have been better considering the graphical fidelity), but it's pretty fun with a bunch of friends and not super competitive. Doesn't force monetisation in your face like a lot of other games (looking at you, Call of Duty), which is a massive bonus, but I fear it'll get worse whenever the inevitable battle pass comes along.

Also, WHY ON EARTH IS C BY DEFAULT BOUND TO EMOTE?

Runs great, plays great, sounds great, looks great. A worth successor to BF3 and 4.

Can't comment on the campaign as I have not played it yet, and many seem to diss it for being bad. Review purely based on multiplayer.

Very easy to lose a hundred or so hours into with very satisfying (pun intended) gameplay, a must for any base building / automation fan. Aside from some annoying bugs (getting permanently irradiated until death and segments of pipes deciding not to let fluids flow through them being the worst), it's very fun. Highly recommended.

Survived a harsh winter with constant food shortages and frostbite, died to a splinter 1 minute before spring arrived.

10/10, highly recommend this toddler sitting simulator.

Had the game not been getting smaller updates, events and microtransactions, I'd let the bot problem slide as the game is way past the average lifespan expected for a developer to support it.

However, it's clear the money printer still has ink in it and Valve is keeping it alive with bare minimum effort as a result.

Bugs (pun intended) aside, the massive amounts of fun this game offers for lower than the average AAA price tag while not having an extremely predatory monetisation system earns it a glowing recommendation.
