@Black Heretic: I have some rough estimates on a few of the DLC levels, but I haven't documented them and don't remember most of them. What I can tell you is that they're developer times with some seconds added on top of it to make it slightly easier. Comparable to A+ in Super Meat Boy.

@Doctor Why: I was referring exactly to the level slot you mentioned (4th level slot in the 2nd row of each of the worlds, plus 2nd slot in World 6), so they're "leftovers" in the end, thanks for the info.
I take the opportunity to ask another question: is there any way to know the "exact" coffee times? I have already beaten them all, but I was trying to manually determine the thresholds for each level (by replaying them multiple times), to help people estimate how close/far they are from beating them. However, the manual process ended up being too long/cumbersome when I tried, so I temporarily gave up.

@Black Heretic: Also forgot about one specific case of World 6 (Beyond The Void): That world doesn't have any component for the spaceship, so the 2nd box in the 2nd row is also locked, because it just isn't.

Black Heretic: Hey, BH Speedrunner here. To answer your question: the 4th in the 2nd row of each of the worlds (except for Crashsite) is probably a misunderstanding. If you want to teleport on Crashsite, you'll see that that box corresponds to the Endera spaceship. The last 2 of the 2nd row are DLC levels (see Secrets of the Entity) and thus require the DLC pack to be played. If you already have the DLC & finished the main story line (e.g. repaired the ship, destroyed Deuriel & got Cpt. Jetsen to do his motivational talk about "dark selfburns"), that's what you collect in the DLC. Hope that helps! :enderacoffee: :selfburn:

Thanks for replying. I already added a comment in an existing thread but received no response. In short, my question is: even after completing the game, there are still some locked levels in the level selection menu of worlds 2->6, so I wonder if there are additional secret levels to unlock.

@idontknow Hi! Not sure if I still have the .vmf file, but some of the tips would be to build your chamber the usual way but instead of using acid pits, turn them into bottomless pits by cutting out the floor, then add interest by removing some walls and floors, put the level in a giant black box with fog, use a lot of props for set dressing, start with large destruction pieces and slowly move on to the details like missing and crumbling walls to add the illusion of a chamber falling apart, and don't forget to add some large details outside of the test chamber. You can always analyze the maps in campaign and take a lot of reference screenshots to compare with your map!

Wanted to let you know this real quick cause i should have some time ago- the marble machine track you made for Spheroid was still found out by Wintergatan so Im unfortunetely not going to use it. that said though, dont feel like you need to keep it secret or anything. Its not like it was ever my copyright to begin with anyways; and i think you might be able to use it as a portfolio peice potentially- or heck; just post on youtube to get more fans.

Sonic Mania has been making some negative headlines with its Denuvo DRM. Reports are stating that Denuvo makes the game play more sluggishly. Generally, the DRM has been loathed in games it was put in, possibly causing issues with computer parts. Either SEGA removed the DRM or the DRM has been cracked. I'm not sure because reports are coming in fast.

I think I used a synth with glass-like waveforms and gave it short decay to get a pluck sound out of it. It gives it that glassy texture, and the body was made with some basic analog waveforms. Another important part of the sound was using sample and hold modulation on filter with high resonance to make it randomly beep.

@minergeek10: Hello, actually it's not that hard to make most of the sounds used in The Escape Pod. If you have a DAW, try to open some orchestral instruments in it (like strings and brass) and use some kind of a retro-sounding chiptune synth (Mike Morasky likes to use Plogue for his Portal 2 stuff).

I am currently creating a modification for Portal 2 that is known as Portal: Technological Revolution. (previously known as PotatOS Laboratories)
A while ago, my friend on steam linked me to one of your tracks which is known as The Escape Pod, which I thought was an AMAZING Portal 2 fan track, and it definitly sounded like it needed to be in a game of some sort.

I'm really intrested into seeing what other kind of Portal 2 related tracks you can come up with.
