I (23M) am white, and my girlfriend (22F) is Black, and she is the first Black woman that I've dated just to give a little bit more context to why I’m confused on what to do. We’ve been dating for around 6 months, and it’s been as perfect as new-ish relationships could be. The only thing is she sometimes refers to me as her “n-word” and says things like “That’s my n-word.” I’ll give her credit because she doesn’t say it all the time, but it’s often enough for me to be a little weirded out by it because, you know, I’m not Black. I just wanted to ask for some advice about bringing up the topic, or should I just ignore it and take it as a compliment because it’s a cultural thing, just because a few times in the past I’ve been disrespectful and inconsiderate when it comes to her culture/race, so I’m trying not to overstep some kind of racial boundary
