Awesome medieval city builder, plenty of planned updates post v1.0 go live. Lots of replay ability if you like city builders. Challenging but has the option to make the game a little easier.

Early Access Review
Played it all afternoon on release day, plenty to do although obviously there are some limitations as this game has just gone into EA. Really enjoying it so far and looking forward to the future of this game, although it will be a slow burner. Very relaxing.

Great game, pretty chill, no need for frantic button mashing

I played this for about half an hour. The control system seems either ill thought out or broken. My mouse cursor is always on screen and I frequently go out of the window, despite what graphics settings I use. Also the interface seems to get confused often and show you multiple overlays requiring a response at the same time, even though the questions being asked are from different events firing. They are overlayed over each other which makes making a decision to either difficult as you're not sure which button is related to which question/interface.

A lot of the slot games are the same, just with different graphics. I accept slots are somewhat similar but these are far too similar. They're pretty much the same.

I tried to play the roulette but there were no instructions as to what you were betting on. Again, very poor interface leads to confusion.

Due to the poor interface there is no way I would continue to play this, let alone invest any money in it.

This game deserves every one of it's awards. It starts as a simple, fun puzzle game with cute graphics and characters but becomes so much more than that. There aren't many games I'd say were a work of art but this is one of them. It's pretty much perfect.

Early Access Review
Despite not really being interested in Arma after watching people play it (it seemed slow and without teamwork), I picked up Squad after watching several people stream it and I'm glad I did. It's early access but what I've seen so far is enjoyable to play and the mechanics, whilst still not complete, are reliable and consistant. Some early access games have very problematic gunplay (e.g. H1Z1: KotK) but not with Squad. It's already robust enough to already have a popular competitive scene.

The community is very helpful and there isn't much trolling on the community servers I've played on due to a very high admin presence (I play on Rusty in Places servers mainly). I was also surprised that 95% of people play the game seriously and don't "lone wolf" or not communicate with their team mates.

Updates for the game seem quite regular (several times a year), which isn't bad considering the devs are making the game in their spare time, it's not their 9-5 day job. They also have a very good relationship with the community which is essential for early access.

Even if you've not played a military simulator before, I'd recommend watching some game play on Twitch, you might become as hooked on the game as I have.

Explain like I'm 5: It's like CS:GO on a bigger map with multiple squads on each side, vehicles and the games last about twice as long.

So far I'd definitely recommend Squad.

I start a new colony...within hours there is the classic tale of boy meets girl blossoming before my eyes. Tim loves Anna, Anna loves Tim...they swiftly propose to each other and start to plan their wedding, they even decide to share a bedroom for a little privacy and lovin'. On the fifth day Tim cheerily goes out to work full of the joys of Spring, leaving Tim's Dad and his Fiance to work at home...whilst cleaning the bedrooms Tim's Dad makes an indecent proposal to his sons Fiance. WTF...

TIM'S DAD WTF ARE YOU DOING YOU SCUMBAG, IT'S BEEN FIVE DAYS

10/10 would play Colony Marriage Wrecker again.

I played this a lot before I even started using Steam so my hours played is probably nearer 30.

Ghost Master is a refreshing change from most games in that it's fairly unique, it's hardly supernatural or spooky, it's far to cute for that but it's good fun teaming up your spirits and giving the group of mortals the wombo combo of their ghostly abilities until they start freaking out.

The games premise, create a team of supernatural entities to scare away a group of mortals, makes it sound relatively simple like a game ported from a tablet or mobile. It's much more than that though. It looks good for a top down 3D game, it plays well and I've only ever seen one bug. It has reasonable replayability trying different teams in different scenarios and the scoring system is pretty good.

Fun little game to play occasionally and even though it's 13 years old, it doesn't look or act it's age.

When this game grows up it wants to be Alien Isolation, or possibly Tetris. It's a pretty confused game.

To be honest the game play is distinctly average. Not in an acceptable way which means you should take a risk buying it, but in a "oh you bought it already, don't cry....I'm sure you'll enjoy parts of it" kind of way. If they made the uninstaller into a mini game I'd have been left with more of a fuzzy feeling about it. This game is a classic example of a game which uses existing IP to sell a broken dream - it uses the Aliens name but by god it sullies it.

I've played a lot of games over the years but this is the only one so far to give me motion sickness. Yay, Colonial Marines...not so much throw your hands up in the air as throw your lunch up.

Update: I hear the game can be significantly improved with mods, although I haven't tried them because of the motion sickness and I also now have Alien Isolation which is as close to being in the film Aliens as is possible in a game.

I wish there was an option to limit further the long winded dialogue which goes on and on and on. It quite quickly repeats and is rather annoying after a couple of hours. It slows the game down tremendously. Turning the voice option to "0" means nothing, they still talk but you cannot hear it. Aside from that it's a great game.
