A good solid 7/10 game, it was much more fun than I expected and easier than a classic soulslike.

The story is alright, and I got hooked after learning a certain piece of lore about your own character. The first parts of the game does have a weak hook to get you involved and some plot points I thought was being established just didn't happen. After learning the lore of your character, that is the point where it got interesting and I really liked the story, and you are rewarded for exploration as not only do you get good gear and backstory, the exploration actually ties into the story itself and is a way for you to get a good ending. The characters are unique as well, but also suffer from the classic "anime" style talking and personality, I liked their backstories and some of the connections they had, some were better than others of course. There is only one character I super cared about called Io due to her connection to the character and story.

A majority of the bosses are fun to fight against but there is one or two that are utterly horrible to fight against. Also, some of the normal NPCs you fight against does a ♥♥♥♥-ton of damage for what feels like no reason. The final boss also ruined the pace of the game, not only is the lock-on mechanic janky during that fight, it's a completely different gameplay tone to the different bosses you have fought in the past. Ironically, the boss before that was a very fun boss and imo should've been the final boss.

As for performance, the game runs very smoothly but when going to certain places, you can tell that it is loading in a new area as it starts to lag for a little bit.
