Naruto is a Japanese shōnen manga written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump by Shueisha from 1999 to 2014.

The story follows the world of ninja and a boy named Naruto Uzumaki — an orphan from the village of Konohagakure — who has the Nine-Tailed Fox sealed inside him. Dreaming of becoming Hokage — the strongest ninja and leader of his village — Naruto goes through trials, battles, and losses, gradually earning recognition and forming lasting friendships.
