Best game to start simracing with.

Assetto Corsa is extremely versatile, mostly thanks to it's extensive modding community, who make tracks, cars, visual overhauls and plugins to improve the general experience.
Whether you want to griprace your way around or drift or even fly a plane, AC has you covered.
The game can look extremely beautiful if you get CSP with the post processing set up looks beautiful (especially with rainfx (which are paid, but you can get it for $1 if you subscribe to the creator's pateron))
and you can tweak almost everything.

The only downside is the default launcher being terrible, which can be avoided by just downloading Content Manager.

Oh also it has VR support and IMO VR is the only correct way to simrace (fight me, triple monitor users)

Idk Gud game, can drift car without massive impact on wallet.

I have reached 500 hours on this game and there are a few things I'd like to talk about.

This game is mainly for creative people. Building a vehicle requires a significant amount of time and work put into it. It's not too beginner friendly, so if you are an impatient person then this game is not for you.

The amount of crashes and bugs is unreasonable, the game came out of early access in autumn last year, but it still crashes a lot.
The AI is not good. Especially the flying AI. It seems as if every other minute another helicopter falls out of the sky onto the island you are currently on and starts a new forest fire. There is also no way to despawn any AI crafts (unless you go into the game files and manually edit the text of a save file) so expect lag. You can disable AI vehicles on the addons tab when creating a save, but the game loses a bit of it's liveliness.

They have removed quite a few features, the main one recently being the removal of explosions from scripts, which stopped multiple weapon systems from working. The weapons DLC is supposedly coming out this summer, but there might be delays and I don't see any reason to remove the explosions when the DLC is not even close to being released.

Overall you need a lot of patience when playing this game due to the bad optimization, immense lag and frequent crashes. When starting out you may have to watch hours of tutorials to understand what is going on. Starting out is significantly easier when you have a friend who is already fairly experienced in building, but it's still hard. This game gives a lot more creative freedom than some other games (KSP for example), but the learning curve is that much more steep. A lot of times you also need to work with logic so that is a thing you need to familiarize yourself with first.

I recommend this game to people who want creative freedom and can tolerate the lag, glitches and crashes.

I got this game last week and I quite like it. If you get a multiplayer mod it is even more fun. When KSP 2 releases I will definitely get that as well

Prettty good game, devs put in alot of hard work and the game is probably going to be done pretty quickly

I absolutely love this game, the graphics are amazing, story is really cool and overall it is a really great game!
