You can basically become whatever you want in this game, membership is really worth because it's a great boost and pretty cheap, only downside i see is that when you're exploring red zones and dark zones (PvP zones), you will get ganked by a group of people almost all the time.

Not gonna lie, the game can get really toxic and other times you will find really friendly people, and no, the game isn't a copy of overwatch the game has it's unique mecanics and styles.
