While this brings a lot of content, it's undeniable to say that in its current state, there are a lot of issues that need to be addressed before the content of the DLC can actually shine.

This was...extremely poor on release. I wouldn't have encouraged that anyone buy it in the state it was in. But now? It's ok. Get it if you enjoy the game. It's a sufficient amount of extra content. It arguably makes the game a little easier, though.
Watch out for future releases, if this sets any precedent for the Gearbox team. Think before you buy. Vote with your wallet.

Great game, was lots of fun during beta, and continues to be a game that holds a lot of promise, especially if it is continually updated. No run is the same and it feels unique every time you play it
