This game has been my game for some time now. I've taken breaks and come back multiple times. I highly recommend PlanetSide 2 for players interested in large-scale warfare, small-squad tactics, and deployable construction combat. Do keep in mind, this game is aging - it runs on spaghetti code and the dreams of the players, but by Vanu, it runs.. and when 1000 players meet up for a single-instance combat PlanetSide 2's uniqueness truly shines through.

Advice for new players:
Look up codes.
Upgrade your medic tool.
You'll get shot a lot, get used to it.
Find an outfit to play with.

But most of all,

Do whatever you enjoy in this multi-faceted masterpiece.

I despise playing healers in MMORPGs - With the exception of FF:XIV. The mechanics from the player-side are GREAT in every class I've played. The only mechanics in this game that I don't like, really, are a select few of the boss fight mechanics, but mostly because they keep kicking my butt and I end up having to look up play guides lol... but overall, a great game, worth the subscription fee to me.

This game was my first self-taught reading lesson in 1992. Coming back now, I am literally moved to tears watching the expanded context and voiced scenes. It's NDS-level graphics, and that's okay - to me, it preserves just a bit of the game's pixelated legacy without being a pixel remaster, not that I didn't enjoy that on Switch.
