Early Access Review
I'm writing this review still with goosebumps on my arms from finishing the game. I haven't had a game do that to me in I don't know how many years. The visuals, the music, the story, are all fantastic. The new Xen chapters are unbelievably good, to the point where I had a very hard time walking away from my computer for the 5 or so hours it took me to play through them.

I've tried to play half life 1 in the past but I really couldn't get into it. I got somewhere into the office levels and could tell that there was a lot of cool depth and story to the game but I really couldn't keep playing due to the dated feeling and the frustrating mechanics. If you had an experience like me, or if you've never played half life 1, definitely pick up this game, EVEN at full price. And if you have played through half life 1? You NEED to play this game!

I will note that it isn't perfect. You have to deal with some classic source engine quirks. and the AI can be pretty frustrating/bad at times. Oftentimes the game is not clear on what you are supposed to do or where you're supposed to go. And I will say that some parts of the map (especially once getting out of the complex) feel awkwardly small/cramped (this is probably due to the game holding true to the HL1 maps). HOWEVER, all of these negatives are entirely outweighed by the positives. This game rewards you with one of the best stories a game has to offer, amazing visuals (even for a source engine game), satisfying and unique gunplay, and a surprisingly good music score. It is an amazing remake, holding true to and even surpassing the original in every way possible.

Thanks for reading, I'm off to play Half Life 2.

The universe that this game creates is fantastic. The gameplay is super fun and interesting and the crazy good story keeps you entertained. This game gets a lot of good reviews and mentions in best games of all time, and it deserves every one. Easily the best single player game I've ever played.

This is still in my opinion the best Call of Duty game made. The multiplayer is still active on PC, with quite a few servers running various game modes. If you play multiplayer though, you'll mostly be playing TDM, HC TDM, or SnD. The singleplayer still holds up to this day with memorable missions like All Ghillied Up. Overall, if this game goes on sale I would highly recommend picking it up if you want to experience some of the best CoD multiplayer action, without any crazy kill streaks or movement. It's barebones, and it works. This game is the reason CoD blew up the way it did, and it still holds up today
