Five year old loved it.

It's an anemic callback to games like Rad Racer and Out Run but it still delivers on what it promises.

This game sets the standard for mediocrity. It's not unplayable but it's also not stellar. The culprit here being the overloaded "Tech Web" which all the game mechanics pivot around. Regularly the Tech Tree is a linear easy to understand progress meter where you can quickly at a glance know where to find that piece you need to research next. The Tech Web is a disastrous attempt to take that linear approach and turn it into a materia board. The UX for the tech web is a confusing and clunky mess that requires you to use the very spartan filter. Good luck trying to figure out how it all works the first few games and how to get to what you need.

tl;dr: If a game every needed a third option outside "Yes" and "No" this is it. I can only recommend this if you're a masochist or never touched a Civilization game before and love to pour over every flavor text available.

Fixing rage quitters before servers so that you now are forced to sit in a laggy game for 5+ minutes? I'd buy that for $20!

I don't understand. I don't know where this game came from, why it was in my library or even why I started it up.

All I understand now is that shapes are in need of traversing and I am their savior.

If you played NS then you should've already bought this.

If you never played NS back in the day, man were you sheltered. Buy this and feel better about yourself.
