As a (nearly) solo player, I am now 50 hours in this game, which says a whole lot about the quality of the experience Dune: Awakening offers. For reference, I play with a single friend on a privately hosted server, simply because I'm not that into the mmo aspect of survival mmo's like this and Ark.

Avoiding spoilers, this game is deep in so many ways. Deep in the variety of chase items it puts in front of you. Deep in the range of emotions you will feel during your playthrough. Deep in the creativity you can make use of, enabled by the various crafting and building systems. This is honestly the first survival crafting game I've fallen into as deeply as this since the Valheim days. The visuals are simply stunning. The ambiance, sometimes thrilling, sometimes serene, will undoubtedly seduce you.

There is a point to be made when a game immerses its players so well and so profoundly that it's literally everything I can think about at times. It offers so many ways to play and so much variety in the activities you can do. It is literally improbable that you get bored. It feels like what any excellent survival crafting game would aspire to become.

And it is just the beginning. C'mon, get on Arrakis already.
