I can't for the life of me recommend this game having enjoyed the first Subnautica thoroughly. The only good things about the game are the ones that remained unchanged. Waste of money and time:

- Instead of you, silence of the deeps and roar of reapers, it's now you, your edgy Marvelesque blabbering main char, your PDA that talks 5 times as much as it should and your key to survival - a jukebox in your base. Oh, also a chatty <spoiler> and the immersion is completely gone.
- There's no high speed fins, stasis rifle, sonars, cyclops, seamoth, radio, depth, horror, any danger of dying or danger of enjoyment of actual challenge in the game. Every single tool and vehicle added were unimpressive, to say the least. Food added is overpowered to the point of you no longer having to worry about food/water/heat as long as you plant 2 things in your base that you get for free to create 1-slot no expiry date salad.
- This is subnautica and you spend about 20 mins below 500m and quite a few hours on the icey surface (which are a complete chore btw). Please read the name of the game again.
- Story is lame and predictive with a cliffhanger of an ending. Main reason you show up on the planet becomes irrelevant as soon as Alan's sweet British accent shows up. Also, you're being spoonfed instead of exploring for story.
- Main char's line that "the greatest predator is human" means that you can swing your knife a few times and literally everything runs away, or zap the biggest leviathans once with your vehicle (which consumes 1% of your power) and you're gucci.

Complete sellout, I am now scared for Subnautica 2.

After taking care of their game and polishing what needs to be polished in 2.0+ and Phantom Liberty, it is in a state it deserves to be - had it been released in current state, it would've been talked about more like a timeless masterpiece that it truly is.
The only negative thing that I could say is that the game might be a tad too easy (no matter the difficulty level) with a fully built character in the end, almost encouraging skipping content and finishing faster for a bigger challenge - which is by no means what you should do. Everything else? Just go play it and be a part of an incredible immersive Night City. And never stop fighting.

As a standalone game, Bioshock is a piece of art and it should absolutely not be skipped for any possible reason.

As a remaster, there's no way in hell I would give this a pass since:

a) It doesn't offer enough improvements to the original game (even only visual ones) to ask for additional money.
b) It's buggy as hell. Most of those are not game-breaking and can be fixed, but it still doesn't mean that most of them aren't annoying.
c) This filthy launcher they introduced in 2022. Thank god there's a simple fix to google out.

If this is your first time playing Bioshock, I envy you and absolutely go for it, but if you want to play it for the sake of remaster, stay away.

Absolutely exceptional remake in every sense - level design is fascinating, music is great and it kept enough of the spirit of the original game. Complaints would be related to Xen and Interloper chapters being way, way, way too long, even tho new and redesigned Xen is a thing of beauty, it gets repetitive and drags on forever. Health/suit recharges and ammo should have probably been more scarce throughout the game and that's about it, if you're thinking of buying this game, think no more and start playing.

Very well rounded expansion with great campaign and a proper 40k feeling. About to dive in into the mp aspect for which they say is the true value of the game, but I'm already sold on this one.
