game's alright

i think u'll do just fine starting this game if this is your first yakuza game. It might spoil ur experience from older yakuza games though because they really all in on this one but taking everything good about yakuza and putting it into one game. The older yakuza's are still hella fun in their own ways. Now we just need all the yakuza remasters to be on pc

Basically they learn what was good and what was bad from danganronpa 1. Kept the good stuff and improve on the bad stuff.
i like this version compared to the first game.

Phoenix Wright is still better as a mystery solving type of game.

If you play games for their story, i recommend u don't buy it, even if it is on sale. The story just sucks.
If you play games for their gameplay/atmosphere, i'll recommend u, but there is a lot of "but".

What i mean is, the gameplay overall is fun, u only get to control 1 character. The game does a horrible/decent job at teaching the battle system, but its only because it takes a while for the player to get used to. Fighting random mobs can get a bit boring, but fighting bosses are always fun.

Content overall, it doesn't get fun until the post game content which is around chapter 10, which get this, (Took me 40hrs to get to that "fun" chapter) i do enjoy the post game content, but i can't guarentee that you'll feel the same way.
Anything before chapter 10 is just enjoying atmosphere, character development(haHAA) and boss fights.

Do i recommend it? Well despite all the horrible things, it still managed to rack up a fair few of people that like this game, so i say its worth a shot. People who like it REALLY like it, people who dislike it REALLY dislike it.
Its like that one dish/food that you have both sides and there really isnt anyone in the middle.

Once went to sleep with the sounds of explosions still very clear in my head.
11/10 would not do it too often

Personally prefer playing phoenix wright.
After playing phoenix wright, this game felt kinda underwhelming. I can understand why people like it, but it was definitely not for me.
new world order meme is funny af. Other than that, i recommend buying the game on a sale especially if you are an anime fan.
