I certainly agree with the popular opinion that this game is better than the first one - overall it felt like a quite refreshing experience due to the new setting, cast and some game mechanics, while keeping the original progression structure. The mysteries got more convoluted and complex (to the point of bordering absurdity tbh), with the plot feeling more profound, especially when reaching the end. Particularly the last chapter is a lot more memorable to me compared to in the first game; its atmosphere and immersiveness were very well-executed and I liked how it actually managed to convey the hopelessness.

Additionally, I enjoyed the visuals, particularly of the backgrounds/setting and character designs, also the soundtrack is incredibly catchy once again. Aside from a few frustrating gameplay mechanics, excessive amount of resource/achievement farming and parts of the (character) writing that make the story seem like it can't take itself seriously at times (typical for the series though), I definitely enjoyed this game a lot! This series is honestly just fun if you don't bother to reflect on its logic too much lol.
