Really excellent game to play with friends, either experienced gamers, or fresh.

No clues, didn't even know what puzzle I was supposed to be solving in the first room.

Second room gives you about 5 seconds to look at the things on the wall before you have to run around the entire room chased by a giant laser. Made me feel very unwell. Refunded the game.

FATE is a classic RPG from my childhood that I only had the demo of pre-installed on my Windows Vista laptop, for some unknown reason it entered my thoughts just recently, the name escaped me, but after some investigating I found the name, and found it was on steam and I jumped on it hoping to relieve the feelings I got exploring the first few levels in the demo all those years ago.

FATE plays fairly simple, it doesn't try to do too much, but what it does do it does well. I built a tanky "paladin" type character stacking shield block, attack speed and lifesteal. This build was pretty much focused around autoattacking whilst being able to mitigate incoming damage. In theory it sounds boring, but I thoroughly enjoyed my 20 hours adventure to the bottom of the dungeon to get that last achievement.

I'm putting FATE to bed now, it's combat systems aren't deep enough for me to want to do a second playthough, but for $7.99 this game is a steal if you used to play it as a child, or want a simple and (fairly) easy ARPG, thanks for the trip down memory lane.

This game runs flawlessly on Win10, 1920x1080p, no issues.

Played this with my girlfriend and we had a blast, short and sweet, cost nothing for 90 mins of fun. She was better at it than I was. Highly recommended to play with a partner.
