The game has a very fun loop overall however, the loop is a lot shorter than what I would hope for the price tag.
The Co-op is fun, though either the enemy HP increases or your DMG drops so it kinda feels like crap especially with the very limited dashes when you can't really flinch enemies so only 2 hits into your combo if you don't dash out you're going to get hit since even common enemies will super armor through your attacks. The scythe and club weapons both definitely need buffs, not doing enough to make up for the major weaknesses of the weapons. I've also had this problem where in the world 3 boss the game just craps the bed entirely, going down to 5FPS out of nowhere, the visuals melt, and if I exit the run back to the hub everything goes fine and the rest of the game is fine it's just that one boss where things freak out sometimes which is annoying since it's one of the few bosses you can't avoid. I hope the devs plan free content updates, bug fixes, and balance updates for this but right now not the most worth the price.

completely inadequate tutorial for what the 2 story AI difficulty settings are, so easy you never have to learn the defensive controls, or too oppressive and perfectly reactive that you don't get the chance to learn anything at all you're too busy getting your teeth kicked in if you come to the game with no prior experience from the last games.

Get the game speed back to what it was in the Beta, and maybe I'll consider playing in spite of terrible character unlock system

So I only recently got into Destiny 2 because I got a PC upgrade and for several months beforehand I constantly heard from my boyfriend all the stuff he was doing in it that he was really enjoying. He would grind this game so hard, so when I did get my upgrade and I could play it uh... wow this is, a state of a video game. For a "MMORPG" I have literally zero clue what is going on in the story even remotely. From what I've been told a lot of the story aspects, including previous DLC's campaigns I grabbed for cheap are vaulted and not able to be played anymore. How the heck does that make sense to anyone???? If you are an RPG with a STORY then that STORY KINDA MATTERS you can't just "vault" it away new players wont have any clue what is happening even slightly. Every person I've spoken to has just complained about the state of the story but moreso than that how the difficulty keeps getting higher and higher, characters are worse and worse, and it's making them hate their lives. Which I can totally see, I've messed with all the classes now and I don't see how anyone can actually play Hunter you just get looked at and keel over. Then on top of that, so many of these systems of just the generic stuff to do is so insanely limited compared to other MMO's I've messed with, like I'm still at a power level where I'm going through vanguard playlist to get up to the hard cap and there are so many times you just get the same missions, or on the other extreme, handed ones that were part of a DLC I haven't gone completely through yet because I'm doing them in chronological order. I have been warned six ways from sunday to just not get lightfall so I haven't, and the state of the game itself even separate from lightfall seems so hellishly bad that my boyfriend I mentioned earlier, can't even stand the game anymore. Lightfall released and he will only play it when I get on to do some stuff and help me, outside of that he just never gets on anymore and he got the full 100 dollar version of lightfall for all the extra ♥♥♥♥. This is genuinely insane, this game needs so much help.

The Main Game (And soem Me Story):
So I've been watching RWBY for the past two almost three years now from what I can remember, and once I saw news that they were making I game I was extremely excited because I was going to get to make Team RWBY, well, fight the way I wanted them to. So when the game came out I can say I had my hopes up, but since then they have kind of died. The game I can tell you it is not bad, it's a pretty good game beyond the few bug spots I've found, I can say I've had fun, but my issue is that although this is a decent game, it's not a RWBY Game. This like, that off brand "First Choice" knock off you find at the grocery store, it's fine as it is, but it's not what it says it is. There are attacks and abilities in this game that the characters in the series do not even have, as well as the fact that story is completely half a$$ed, it's not a good story, it doesn't pull you into it and submerge you into the world of RWBY. It lets you sit in a chair, and spend time killing stuff to level up, then resetting your character's levels just to gain a stupid badge that shows how much tiem you've waisted. The game doesn't feel rewarding, it doesn't feel like RWBY, and sometimes it does feel like a waist of time. If you were looking for this game, for RWBY, don't buy this unless if it's on sale for less than 10 dollars. If you just want a hack and slash with pretty good mechanics and cute girls plastered on it, play your heart out.

DLC:
Adding Team JNPR was pretty nice, because with this being something that didn't feel like it happened in the series where we follow Team RWBY, it could at least feel like a Team JNPR game because we don't know what they were up to during certain times. The problem was you have to pay extra for that feeling, and some people that I know don't even like Team JNPR. I only bought the DLC for Ren and Jaune to be honest. Jaune in this game as the Ultimate that lets you Buff your Teams Stats which is, strange because his semblance is unknown in the series and hes never done something like that, check http://rwby.wikia.com/wiki/Jaune_Arc if you want. So although I can get the want for a stat boosting character, this feels out of place. Then recently they added costumes for the two Teams, giving them outfits for the Beacon School Uniform, and the Dresses/Tux's they wore on the Dance Night in Volume 2. What the f- are you serious!? Just these two, not even costumes, for their Volume 4 Redesigns!? Yang has the robot arm now so it can be done, no "Oh she would be down an arm so blehh" shes good now, the only problem would be Pyyrha who, since I don't like her as a character, I don't really care, they could make her look ghostly or something, whatever pleases them. I also think that they should have more than just these two teams out, since this feels like a joke of a RWBY Game, they could have at least pleased us with Cinder's Faction (Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, and Neo... maybe even Torchwick two.) Or one of the other side teams like Team SSSN, Team STRQ, Ozpin's Group, Team CFVY, just more characters would make spending time in this Game more worth it for some people.

What I think is Needed:
More Teams, New Campaigns, New Game Modes (Maybe like a PVP VS and Payload), and More Sensible Costumes.

My Rating:
3.5/10
