An uplifting chirping can be heard in the calmest of cavities, even the indifferent motions of earthly constructs resemble a dance in celebration of the outside. All reminders of my banishment to the trenches within.

Life my judge, jury and executioner, in a relentless stampede I await for your acceptance onto the surface. I have been so persistent, acknowledging of my heresy that is the essence of my form, but to what end? What fate is this, that I am to stand guard of the tunnels that burrow through my being, leading to the coldest of terrors and the reddest of infernos festering within… These pockmarks’ gazes unrelenting and pleas demanding me to take the plunge into my past diseases… I won’t do it.
