As other reviews have mentioned, yes, this game is short (3-4 hours).
But if like me you prefer quality over quantity - then you won't be disappointed.
The story and game play systems are interesting and engaging from the start to the end.
Hopefully this will be successful enough for a sequel to be green-lit - as there are plenty of loose threads a second game could tie up!
Its an easy recommendation.

I thought it was about time I updated my review for this - if you have even the slightest interest in puzzle games this should already be on your wish-list. If you have the slightest interest in weird theories and conspiracies this should be already be on your wish-list. Like games that make you think about science and tech - again this should be on your wish-list. Oh and if you like the X-Files - well you will probably have this already!

But what should make you buy this? The community is fantastic - no where else can you expect to find people willing to discuss all the stuff you will come across and help you with the puzzles. And once you finish the game I bet you still hang around and chat with the community. Better still the devs - Alice & Smith - are always on and chatting with players - a rarity these days.

tl;dr? Buy it.

As a player of The Black Watchmen I picked this up ages ago and have been playing since the Alpha version. And its come a long way!

First if you played and enjoyed Uplink - just get this you will not be disapointed! (There is even an uplink theme in the game you might be able to unlock!)

If you have never played Uplink then NT4 is a hacking sim that tasks you with missions and bounties that will have you hacking into pc's, phones, networks, etc - you do not need to know anything about hacking in advance, you do not need to be an IT genius to play, the game will teach you how to use it!

Although the game is still in its infancy with lots of content still to be added, recently a section allowing players to design their own systems that you can hack has been added - and its a fantastic glimpse into the sort of content you can look forward to.

So if you have even a passing interest in solving puzzles, computers, security, hacking etc I can't recommend this enough.

Having played plenty of games that purport to be fantastic exploration and survival experiences I was perhaps a bit jaded and wary when I heard about sunless sea. Nevertheless liking the look and sound of it a decided to buy it (I have been playing the humble store version)

I am happy to tell you that sunless sea is in fact a utterly fantastic and compelling experience and it keeps getting better with each update. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing writing that permeates throughout the storyline and leaves little breadcrumbs that make you want to sail about and explore.

Oh and did i mention that it also happens to be very funny - although i am not sure my crew would agree as i just threw a couple of them overboard as sacrifices to a large beastie that was chasing me!
