I've barely played it, but it's good fun so far. (Will edit to be more descriptive once I've played more)

I love this game, I played it a lot more when I was younger so I'm probably slightly biased. Some people view this game in a negative light, I certainly do not. Ricochet is fun, I just wish it got a 20th anniversary update, hopefully it will get a 25th anniversary update instead. Richochet is partially dead, but you generally can find at least one other person to play with, one other person is all you really need.

Great to play with friends.

EDIT: Last played feb 2nd, can't play it ever again since they removed linux support. Double negative.

I wasted lots of time on this game, I do not recommend it, play Titanfall 2 instead.

10/10 - Masterpiece

Worth $20, certainly worth any price below that

Very minor complaints quickly overshadowed by spectacular world-building, lively characters, an amazing story, a charming art style, and fun gameplay.

The second best game I've ever played.

I recently completed Hypnospace Outlaw, and it was an overall spectacular experience. The reasons why I felt the game was so amazing cannot be explained without revealing spoilers. The game has puzzles; if you don't like those, I suggest you play the game differently. Try following guides to get past all the puzzles but follow the story, as the game is worth it for the story/characters alone. However, If you do enjoy puzzles, I highly, highly recommend this game without any guidance ( at least not during the main game ).

This game's world feels really alive, each character feels like a real person with unique personalities. The world was so real feeling that once I finished the game, I felt empty and somber.

Some advice for increased enjoyment:
  • You do not need to purchase or download everything in the game. Trust me, try to enjoy the game and immerse yourself in it's world instead.
  • The game can get boring and you may find yourself get stuck on the puzzles easily. Stick with it; you will be rewarded with your persistence.

At launch, I wouldn’t have recommended this game. However, with the most recent updates, that's changed. The Detailer’s Patch (#1) added seriously needed content for free, and the #1 likely means more free updates like this are coming. The Economy 2.0 patch also fixed many issues related to the in-game economy.

Now, it's a little hard to recommend this game at its current price. It certainly isn't worth $50, let alone $90. If you can get it for around $18-30, it's worth that price. If price isn't a factor for you, I'd recommend this game, but even then with caution. Expect performance issues and a lot less content compared to CS1 with all its DLCs (especially bikes, where are the bikes?). CS2 offers a whole lot less, but still it does beat CS1 without any DLCs.

The game is definitely improving. I just worry CO will screw up.

New review: Thanks valve.

Old review: I haven't played much of it I'd say that I've enjoyed it however the bots have caused so many issues for me, I spent a good amount of time just trying to find a lobby that doesn't have snipers that kill you from miles away. I haven't come across any cheaters yet, but I sure have come across bots, they're everywhere. I remember people were having a very nice and intresting conversation, then a bot joined, and blasted music on it's microphone. This game is fantastic, chaotic, and good old fun, but as it stands currently, I wouldn't recommend it...all because of some bots. Valve, please, do something.

Early Access Review
What a shame. I have over 200 hours in the first game, and I really love KSP, but this just isn't it. While there's a possibility that the game isn't finished, as it stands, it's not good.

Disregarding the whole...situation, the game feels very half-baked. It has some great improvements from the previous game, but I recommend buying KSP1 and modding it using CKAN instead. I'm now boycotting PD and its parent company, T2, regardless of whether the game continues development or not.

I initially left a positive review after the "For Science!" update, but I've since changed it to negative. What was once partially acceptable now feels doomed after hearing that development has ceased. It’s clear to me that the game will not improve and, therefore, will never be good (in my opinion). I will edit this review to be positive if development somehow continues.

Sorry about the poor structure of the review, but here's a list of what's good and what's bad about this game. I'll start with the bad things, then highlight the good to lighten things up a bit.

Bad things about this game:

Performance: The performance is TERRIBLE. While it improved with the "For Science!" update, using large or even medium-sized crafts lags the game significantly.
Graphics: (Subjective) The graphics are really disappointing. Please compare this game to some of the modded screenshots on r/KerbalSpaceProgram to see what I mean.
Empty Feel: The game feels empty, likely due to the long wait and the promise of features that never materialized. I've changed a lot over the years while waiting for this game, and it feels like I've been left in the dark.
Bugs: BUGS, BUGS, BUGS! While I've encountered only one memorable bug, I know there are many more. The most notable one was when dragging my maneuvers on the map—it sometimes just wouldn’t work, which is obviously a game-breaking issue.

Good things:

UI: I like the UI; it's an improvement over the first game.
Parts: The craft parts are cool and add some variety.

Thanks, T2, thanks PD... Thanks a lot.
