Okay, I got a free copy, but it's not as bad as I heard. I admit I wouldn't have bought it for over $30 considering the absurd amount of microtransactions it has, but I've had a lot of fun with this game, so I can't give it a negative review.

I wanted to enjoy this, but I can't. No memorable characters, poor writing; the storyline had potential, but it was poorly executed.

When I played the previous games, with every companion I saw, I said "what a great character, I'd love to see them again!" (Anders, Merril, Fenris, Cassandra, Blackwall; they left their mark). In DAV, no character gave me that sensation. Even the cameos of previous characters feel disappointing.

This is not a Dragon Age game, it's a Dragon Age fanfic.

Note: the extra hours after the review are not mine, they're my wife's, she liked the game, lol.

The good:
- The combat system (fighting giants is super fun).
- AI companions are useful and fun to create and share (pawn system).
- The world is much larger than its predecessor and fun to explore.

The bad
- In the long term, so much walking can become tedious.
- The story is quite short and not that impressive.
- Some quests have implicit ways to solve them that are not easy to figure out without a guide.
- The romance aspect is poorly developed (lots of romance options, but all of them are pointless and there are only two actual romance subplots).

Recommended? Yes, because the gameplay is awesome. Don't expect a deep story with an engaging narrative.

Regarding microtransactions, they're not necessary at all, so don't worry about missing out anything.

Have you noticed that most RPGs make sure you explore every single dungeon and finish every single questline the devs have worked so hard on? Well, Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't give a damn if you miss an entire dungeon because you were on a rush or if you fail to save that character you were supposed to find. BUT... everything will have consequences sooner or later. Every character has a purpose, and every dungeon a reward.

Great game, absolutely recommended, but way too much DLC.

I hadn't seen a good "daughter simulator" since Princess Maker 2. This one fixes everything the last Princess Maker does wrong, especially the endings. I think it has over 60 endings and you don't have to choose between your daughter marrying or having a profession.

It has a lot of replay value since it's virtually impossible to explore every aspect of the game in a single playthrough. Also, it's not excessively long or too short; it took me about 8 hours to get my first ending and it wasn't bad at all.

For a rhythm game, it's absurdly simple. There's no real challenge, you can hit the notes with any hand and they do not even match the songs choreography. At least Beat Saber or Synth Riders give you that feeling of "dancing" as you play; this one is just random circles coming at you and you're supposed to touch them; that's it.

The base game has too few songs and the complete bundle is absurdly expensive.

I began playing this game by 2020, and back then it was pretty good, but it became repetitive after a few hours. Now, in 2023, I returned and there's so much new content that I don't know where to start and continue!

On the negative side, VR (WMR) has some issues; it's totally playable, but it can be better; for instance, aiming with your head to scan stuff is very annoying (review edited because the issue I was having has been solved).

I was about to leave this game unfinished because it was too scary for me, but it was so good that I was able to finish it (normal difficulty). It's quite short, but believe me, it's so scary that you won't want to play for too long!

I'd say it's a tribute to Resident Evil; the limited supplies and the realistic weapon mechanics give you that same sensation of feeling powerless in an atmosphere of suspense. I warn you: it does have jump scares.

Great game, but not playable enough for me. I'm having a crashing issue that prevents me from continuing. Sorry, but I can't give it a positive review in this state.
