The game never goes on sale.

Potential good game that fails to appeal to casual gamers; as such, it is priced "accordingly", the developers feel compelled to gouge their own playerbase based on the idea that only a small playerbase exists, so to profit further, they gouge their own players.

Aside from that, the game is unique and offers compelling in depth mechanics that synergize and blend with certain strategies. Combine the quickness blessing with your cavalry, and watch them dominate the battlefield. Or pick far caster for your mages, and see them target enemy spellcasters before they even have a chance to shoot back. If you are interested in this kind of gameplay, I'd look into the game for sure. If you are the other 99% of people who play games, this will probably fail to interest you.

A negative review choice reflects the lack of sales, the lack of QOL features that cause much wasted time and frustration (when you pick a faction in the set up screen, you are locked into it until you go through 4 other pages and then are allowed to revert. very odd, instead of left clicking on factions to observe them and then going back, you can only right click to observe them, and if you make the very easy mistake of left clicking these factions, and want to revert your choice, have fun remaking your game again.)

Not worth the price tag.

Portal is a game about Portals, whether it be portals in a game, or portals to your heart. If you love the source games, this is a must play, not just because its fun, but because its very fun.

After trying Minerva and finding it way too hard to play, Requiem of Science is a nice refresher. Some of the levels are not 100% polished, but the gameplay is engaging, and the way forward is fairly inuitive and not a struggle to find. The creator made a fun series of maps using assets from all the different source games, and if you enjoy HL2 combat and gameplay, you'll absolutely enjoy this.

Minerva is a pretty map that's a slog to play. Requiem isn't as pretty but it is fun and easy to play. Recommend :)

Spent my first ten minutes running circles around an island. Pressed a button and... kept going and found a dead end. Immediately I am forced to backtrack... Such stellar map design, I think the Very Positive paints a true picture. If this map was actually well designed, it'd be much better rated.

Minerva is less about the actual game, and more about cool screenshots that make it seem special. The author of Minerva is very capable of making beautiful maps with the hammer toolset. But in terms of making intuitive, rewarding gameplay, he absolutely fails. Choke points with none to little cover, and engagements that are exhausting and one dimensional.

Hot garbage painted with Stalker branding and served on the most overrated engine (Unreal 5) with such unoptimization forcing players with even the best PC parts money can buy to suffer sub 60 framerates.

As a fan of the original games, this lacks everything that made the originals great, including the modability, the vision, the russo jank, the eastern accents, (this game has the most atrocious voice acting i have ever heard in any game. the voice actors are monotone, uninspired, and sound like they are in reading class.)

If you never played the originals, Stalker 2 will probably be fine for you. But if you've played the originals for years before the second was ever announced, (again, it was announced in 2012, cancelled, then announced in 2020) You will feel sadness. Misery, Autumn Auroura, Call of Chernobyl, Xiani's Freeplay (for SoC), and all the countless user made mods that made the originals so replayable and unique. Don't tell me you played the originals and still like Stalker 2, you didn't really play the originals if you didn't mod them to oblivion with the vast amount of overhauls. "I played Stalker SOC and CS and CoP and liked Stalker 2!" Yeah but you only played them once, and never modded them... ;)

70 CAD for a glorified walking simulator with PVP sprinkled in every 40 minutes to 1 hr and 30 if you are lucky. And if you are even luckier that PVP encounter will be with a hacker.

Still, no other game lets you handcuff people after knocking them out with rubber slugs from your double barrel.

Greatest horror game to date. Creepy crawlies. Dark corridors. Enticing notes with brilliantly written lore detailing the game and its backstory, helping the player piece together the story with little effort. The puzzles are fun, and some of them, frustrating. The monsters are scary, and after a while, annoying. But the game is timeless. Its lore brilliant. Its characters well written and fitting. The story is fulfilling, and interesting, in a way that keeps the player invested. As amazing as Soma is, Amnesia: The Dark Descent will always be my favourite. It truly is one of a kind.

Penumbra was great. Amnesia is just a gem in a whole other dimension.

10/10 ;))

i dont think im ready to git gud, considering the mental, physical and spiritual cost. maybe if i gain 300 pounds, and reduce my life to being a telemarketer who plays this on the job, ill skyrocket to the top.

chivalry 2 is better. no drag accel, no rusty shackleford spamming the chat with bible verses, no ugly man breaking my kd into pieces with practiced drag accel glory. i enjoyed game, but i happy to see it rot. enjoy crushing noobs and never facing any real challenge, mordhaulings.
