No custom fights at all, just random duels with every class. You can't customize what the opponent has equipped so you can't fist fight anymore. Ironically there is no player freedom in free mode, so if you want to just play around in a fun sandbox mode, the tech demo is still available to play. Game does have a fun and more in-depth abyss and progression mode so there is fun to be had.
