This demo was really good, I was disappointed when I hit the end and I'm excited for the full launch. Not having it languish in EA hell for years is nice.

Things I liked:
-Crafting stations felt very efficient, letting me "process" just about every object that I had picked up thus far.
-It appears that crafting pulls items from all the storage containers in your base automatically. I love this, I wish it was the default in all crafting games.
-After hearing Maeve and her robot talk, I was worried that it would be a tirade of le quirky banter but it never became obnoxious.

I had a few nitpicks on the demo:
-The metal fences that you break down for scrap were frustrating to click on. They have really thin hitboxes and I found myself clicking past them often. All the other items that you can shoot felt much better.
-The cave (where you start having to watch your oxygen) has a "fresh oxygen" zone right next to the entrance, so you can refill your O2 without having to leave the cave. However, it refills so slowly that I found it faster to just leave the cave and re-enter, even with the loading time considered.
-UI can be weird. Tutorials will cover up a quarter of your screen with text, and the characters will be talking at the same time about an unrelated topic, resulting in some information overload. Some text elements are very small as well.

Really compelling gameplay loop. Lots of ♥♥♥♥ to do, but only a limited amount of time to get it done. You'll be up to 3am because you just need one more day bro and everything will be good.

Also, I support the idea of games following in Remedy's footsteps and having a musical number in the middle.

So it turns out early access survival crafting games can actually be good.

I must build

An amazing game despite the bugs and lack of polish in certain areas. It's such a shame, because they're the only thing keeping this from being one of the best crpgs ever. Music is incredible, writing is amazing, combat gives you all the tools you need to utterly dismantle your foes. Another year in the oven / definitive edition will make this one of my favs of all time.

Turned a monster into a sheep and threw it off a cliff

How is this game real? It shouldn't be possible for it to exist. The world is so incredibly massive while also packed with hidden treasures to discover. Each zone is so incredibly surreal, I can't tell if they're from a dream or a nightmare. I've kept exploring and exploring and it just KEEPS ON GOING.

Not to mention the gameplay is the souls formula polished to its best version yet.

I think Elden Ring is going to be the #1 game of the generation / decade for a lot of people.

An MMO where you actually care about the story and main characters? Whaaaaa??

Valve makes a Half-Life game when they have some amazing new tech and they need a masterpiece to really show it off.

Half-Life Alyx is a true Half-Life game.
