A fantastic sequel that brought all the best aspects of the first game and evolved them. The new puzzle elements were really fun, and the challenge was high yet fair. I also enjoyed all the other humans you get to interact with. The landscapes are absolutely stunning, and the music is so good. Highly recommend.

A short game with mediocre and short puzzles. The pieces seem there, but the puzzles just don't explore any of the mechanics in a deep or interesting way, leading the puzzles to feel unsatisfying, and before you know it, the game is over. Only the bonus puzzles came close to being interesting. The narrative isn't super engrossing, but it's not horrible either. Also, this might just be me, but something about the first-person camera made me super nauseous while playing, especially any time I climbed a ladder. Maybe pick it up on sale, but not for full price.

Simultaneously intense and wacky, there's something for everyone in this game. Besides the main story arc being a really enjoyable mafia drama, the side missions, mini-games, and combat mechanics really give life to the complete package and differentiate it from other open-world games. Not just GTA in Japan, Yakuza is its own thing.

13 years later, Left 4 Dead 2 remains one of the best coop experiences out there. There is no barrier to entry, no leveling system, nothing complicated. Just get to the safe room with your team. It's simple and intuitive, yet it can be challenging and frustrating, which has kept me coming back all these years.

Many games are good, some are great, but a select few are so influential that it changes how games are made and perceived for years to come. The Half-Life series is famous for pushing the boundaries, and Half-Life: Alyx continues that tradition. No other VR game released is as polished, immersive, and fun as this one, and I feel the VR gaming industry will take many years to develop a game that comes even close. Alyx is that good. If there's any reason to get a VR headset, it's this game.
