This may be a controversial opinion, but this is my favorite Far Cry game in the series.

It's a fantastic game with a bunch of really fun base-building mechanics and a solid story. Only reason I'm quitting is because I ran out of story, and I have no interest in the Deep Desert as it currently stands.

Looking forward to revisiting this in the future when more story content is added and the more egregious bugs are fixed.

Greatest fishing mini-game game ever made.

It's a great game, and I got a lot of fun out of it. Unfortunately, the developers have become increasingly hostile and condescending in their communications with the community since their decision to finally start enforcing the PSN account requirement. Between that and the invasive and ineffective kernel-level anti-cheat, I can no longer in good conscience recommend this game.

I may revisit it in the future, when things settle down, but for now? I'm uninstalling.

Spitz, the Community Manager at Arrowhead Games who was (largely) responsible for my non-technical issues with the game has been terminated. In addition, Sony has backtracked on their decision to require PSN account linking. As a result, I've reversed my negative review. Just bear in mind that they're still using their invasive and ineffective kernel-level anti-cheat software.

Genuinely one of the best RPG's ever made. Surprising amounts of freedom throughout the game. Pretty faithful to the series, with the occasional call-back for long-time players but without falling into the trap of pure nostalgia.

It had a rough launch, but CDPR's put in a ton of work to make it more stable. Gorgeous game, fantastic story, engaging gameplay.

It's equal parts challenging and rewarding. It's also far prettier than you'd think, given it's 1gb footprint. Give it a shot; even in early access it's a brilliant experience.

It's like if Subnautica and Factorio had a janky, early-access baby. It's real good.

At launch, it was the poster child for broken games. Now, it's the poster child for an excellent game coming by way of a series of updates.

It's roughly similar to Subnautica, with the gated build system being tied to exploration. It's fairly relaxing, lovely on the eyes, and pretty solid as a multiplayer co-op survival game. Still has a fair amount of early-access jankiness though, so be wary if that's not your thing.
