I'll update when i've spent more hours in it but for now, i'll say what i can about it. This game is NOT "new player friendly". Sure, some people will help you but its too few and far between. It's a rarity. The chance's are good you'll have to join some sort of milsim group to really get all the benefit's out of arma. The learning curve is HIGH. The control's aren't all that intuitive. The amount of control you get is fantastic but...goodluck learning it all within any reasonable time frame. On to the performance issue's arma has, it's unoptimized. It's a mess. I have a Nvidia Geforce gtx 1050 ti, on all low settings still gettings around 25-30 fps and sometimes dips below. I have a intel core i5 7300hq. 8 gb of ram. I know it's not the most powerful laptop ever...but...the issue persists with more powerful one's. Now, when you get the base game, you'd hope that'd be all, right? Nope. Ton's of DLC that a lot of groups and servers may require for you to play, so you have to go out and spend additional money. Single Player performance is not half bad. Multi-player performance is where the game suffers. I'd reccommend the game to someone who has a LOT of time and money. If you are into milsim but have a life and you must be sparing with your cash, don't buy it. The potential of arma is ...tremendous....but..it falls short ultimately.

Now i've not put much time into this game yet, but let me tell you, it is good. I'm not sure how long it's been out or what more the developers plan on doing with it, but for the low price of 14.99 it is worth it. The amount of things you can do to survive in the game is awesome, and the multiplayer capability...it makes you want to work as a tribe. Developers if you see this, do not abandon this...I'd buy this twice if you keep improving it and adding content....in short...don't let up. Highly recommended.

OK, i'm coming fresh from console to pc and reviewing this so keep that in mind as you read. I recently bought myself a new laptop and since i enjoy siege on console and have heard through word of mouth that it's better on pc i got it to see if i could increase that enjoyment. I still like siege but there are some issues on pc that i don't see on console. Issue number one: Almost every que i get placed into a match that's almost over or about done with round one. I do get fresh rounds but more often than not i get thrown into matches that are multiple rounds into the game and that's frusterating. On console that also happens but it's much more rare. Secondly, for someone like me who may be making the move to pc from console just be aware that the control differences are going to take a while to get used too, i feel like i have to relearn siege all over again and at my best on console i was a gold 3 so i'm not exactly a newbie. The graphics are far better than on console and the reactiveness of the controls and movement of characters are better on pc. I applaud that. Aiming is waaaay easier on pc than on console with a controller.

I've spent roughly 4 hours into this game and let me tell you, it's a blast to play. There are 140 cars available to purchase and drive and 208 miles of beautiful San Francisco road on which to drive them on. You can be a cop and take down criminals in a car chase or be the criminal running from the cops, driving down alley ways, and slamming on your breaks to watch the cops drive right by you as you take off in the opposite direction for a clean get a way...it's all pretty satisfying. You can switch cars at any moment with the "Shift" mechanic in the game which basically allows you to spirtually take over another person in another car. This may sound stupid to some of you but let me assure you...the mechanic works well and without cheapening the game at all and plays well into the storyline even.

Oh but there is so much more, from side quests to different challenges and racking up enough will power and money to buy new cars and upgrades for them...you will never be bored.

The negatives:
There isn't many negatives but a couple qualms i have with the game is no "night and day" cycle or any weather change. If they'd have put that into the game i'd have been happier but it's minor in the whole scheme of the game.

Overall 8.5 out of 10. It's worth $20 easily. Go buy it now.

*Attention:*
I have not finished this game yet so take my feedback as is and i will edit the rest of my feedback in when i complete the game 100%.

My review:
I'm a huge fan of star wars and being the fan that i am, i upped the level of expectations significantly coming into the game. I so far have not been dissappointed. When the game delivers action it delivers non stop action. You go through the game with the whole "Powerful Jedi" vibe running at a high level. You get to use the force to crush other star ships, toss objects around, and even disarm enemy(and yes throw enemy around). It doesn't stop there. You seem to be able to weild both the good and dark side of the force...so naturally...jedi mind tricks and electricity being shot out of your hands with precision...is apart of that. If being able to weild both the good and dark sides of the force doesn't do it for you...perhaps weilding duel light sabers with full on customization options will. The controls for the light saber combat is ...limited but the display your character will provide while fighting is various and intense. Cinematic at times.*SPOILER ALERT:* Yoda is in the game and so is star killer and darth vadar, but i'm not sure who else at this point. I'm about 2.4 hours into the game thus far but already i can absolutely recommend this to any true star wars fan. If you have a decent graphics card you'll be able to take in the beautiful graphics to boot.

Recommend if you can get it for under $14

I've played this game in full on Ps3 and i can honestly say that the game itself is not bad. It's worth the play at the very least but the reason i can't recommend this..specifically for pc...is because i have been plagued with the "General Protection Fault" error. I can't run the single player and the multiplayer launches but does not allow me to create an account and the one time is somehow did let me it crashed only to have to revisit the problem. My specs exceed the requirements and i've followed every possible troubleshoot i could find to attempt resolving this but to no avail.

Be Warned.
If you buy this for pc it very well may be a waste of money because it may very well not work. I've read many others who have said the same thing and i'm one of them. Goodluck to you all.

Ahhh. I feel compelled to review this, even though i'm by no account done with the main storyline. It matters not because this game is a true masterpiece and it shows you that within the first hour(hour and a half) of gameplay. The story is well told with good voice acting and captivating imagination. The gameplay is so good there could have never been a story and it would still be a fantasic game. All that said, i am quite glad there is a story hehe. The developers cram packed this game with an unbelieveable amount of detail....and then along comes the literally thousands of mods that add even more detail and you've got one of the greatest games ever made. There's mods for graphics, sounds, dialogue, weapons and so so so much more it's astonishing and for the most part they are extremely easy to use...install...uninstall...etc. Just for those of you running a slightly older computer rig...a Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 1gb(and likewise would assume a ATI Radeon HD 4850 1gb) will run this game at high settings 1920 x 1080 at tolerable frame rates and that card is a card from 2009 i believe. Anyways back to the game...massive amount of fully explorable land...with very diverse landscapes...from snow...to heavy rain..thunder...lightening....sunny with bright blue skys....clear nights with many stars and a beautiful moon....occasionally auroras depending on location...mountains....rivers...ponds...ocean...farms....and far too many to name them all...caves...dungeons...and the list goes on. You can purchase your own horse or house or both.....have followers that help you in battle....and the character customization is absolutely amazingly detailed...massive...addictive...variety all the way. I was normally not the type to play any fantasy rpg game....i was "Before this" the type to play "tactical realism" oriented military shooters...like arma or insurgency....and i still do....but boy am i glad i purchased this. It's a great deal for 19.99 and everybody should buy it. Look at how many positive reviews....now look at how many negative reviews....now look at what everyones saying in the positive ones....now go buy it because that's the smart choice.

I highly recommend you put in a solid 24 hours of experiance in this game before making a perceptive decision on if you like the game or not. Please if you go so far as to purchase this game...give it a good shot.

This is one of those games that you may look at and go "This looks stupid" or "Kiddy game" but let me tell you...it is for everybody. Now before i played this i was typically the type of gamer who only went after a game for good graphics and or realism and this game showed me that a game can be fun without all of that. It's at it's best when you are able to play with friends and then the possiblities are vast. Crafting...survival...in a goofy sort of way it just captivates you...and can take up many hours of your time. I'd highly recommend it and it's a short download and free to boot...i mean really...what do you have to lose?

Insurgency. Well, the positves outweigh any negatives it may have. I won't lie...my first day attempting to play this i had trouble getting into a server...unknown reason...but.....that reason could easily have been internet related and had no bearing on the game itself. I kept timing out so for lack of enough evidence to say it was a game issue i'm going to say it was my internet that day(and yes my internet does get sluggish sometimes). The next day i made another attempt to play with a buddy of mine and it worked like a charm...and has worked great ever since then.

Co Op:
Man are you in for a challenge. The A.I. is formidable and they will flank you if you don't watch all sectors!. In most games(in my experiance) A.I. aren't usually very bright or threatening by any means of the word....this doesn't hold true here. It will take a variety of loadouts and communication to win a co op match .....and if by some miracle you win without that communication(teamwork) you'll find you've bent over backwards and took twice as long to get the job done and find that it's difficult to replicate. Alot of replayability in the Co Op in and of itself. Recommend.

Multiplayer:Hide in foilage crawling on your belly scanning the battlefield and take out enemy threats while remaining unseen(for awhile anyways). You can take cover in buildings, on rooftops, behind cars, and a few other objects on the battlefield. You can go rambo(although i don't recommend that). There is a gameplay style that'll fit everyone...provided you can adapt to your environment.

Training:It feels like the real deal. There is a raw, gritty, and unforgiving aspect to it that i just can't explain without saying...try it for yourself. It is actually helpful and while you may not fully realize how helpful the training actually was...until later down the road when you've had some 20 odd engagements....but you'll find it helped you adapt to the game quicker. I highly recommend doing training before you hop in a real multi player or co op battle.

The guns feel powerful...they have some real weight to them.....and 1-3 shots will take an enemy down...and vice versa will take you down. What armor the enemy or yourself is wearing does play a role...but perhaps making the difference between 1 or 2 bullets i'm guessing. The modifications that are you will be able to do to weapons are actually very helpful and fun to play with...from mods to increase accuracy to mods to help you see at night(flash lights, Night Vision, or heavy barrels and front grips for accuracy).

Unique?
Absolutely. There are plenty of fps games out there that are flashy...good graphically....great storylines....and....make you feel like a great warrior(if you can get into role playing lol). The difference is this does that without the sacrafice of realism....go rambo and you'll likely just lose over and over....be methodical in approach..use teamwork...be tactical and you'll be rewarded with a win....or one heck of a fire fight at the very least.

I recommend this game to anyone who doesn't want something so ultra realistic that they can never win...but not so far out there that you can't be tactical and can't get into it and immerse yourself. This game has a fine balance and i would guess that it will only get better as time goes on and it gets more popular.

Far Cry 3 is one of those games you'll kick yourself for missing out on. I would highly recommend to anyone who craves a good story and good graphics to boot, not to mention the complete freedom to do what you(the player) wants to do. You can freely roam the land and goof around or choose to play the story line back to back. This game is a masterpiece for it's genre. It captivated me and my imagination from start to end. I would say Far Cry 3 has one of the best intro's to a game i've ever personally experianced.

Pros:
-Excellent Crafting System
-Above avarage facial animations
-Great Graphics
-8/10 storyline with multiple endings
-Freedom to roam the land
-Weapon Diversity and Weapon Modification
-Fire(play the game and you'll understand)
-Improved driving mechanics(improved from far cry 2 that is)

Cons:
Uplay and the potential for it to cause problems.

Absolute masterpiece and i would(and am) playing through it again.
