Hey Chroniz. Just saw your question about DS2:SotfS. It's pretty good, but I'm really biased. I love the Souls series. It's a throwback to a bygone age in gaming.

The most improved thing is the lighting. It looks pretty good. Also, enemies positions have been changed throughout, so even though it's the 'same game' it feels different and it's tough, but I can't get enough of it.

Sorry if that doesn't answer your questions, I haven't completed a playthrough of SotfS. To me, any DS game is worth it.

Well, I got my mouse programmed pretty well now, so most of the issues are now resolved. Using a Logitech G502 w/ a custom profile for DS2. Works great actually.

Indeed. The game seems fine. I'm a KB&M guy, so having to learn a new control scheme from DS1 PC, but beyond that and a slight mouse click input lag, the game is great!
